A High-School Student, a Scorned Lover, and a Dead Teacher

Ойын-сауық

Talking about the unsolved murder of Pennsylvania teacher Rachel Deltondo. A very twisting confusing story that involves the Aliquippa Police Dept all the way up to the mayor's office.

    I live 40 minutes outside of Aliquippa. I remember this case. She was shady too. I saw her moms interview on TV. I know moms think their kids do no wrong, but her mom is off her rocker. She bragged about buying shoes for her wedding costing thousands of dollars and blaming her fiancé, police and everybody else for her daughters actions. I think the young man killed her and I feel sorry for her family. But this Rachel was sketchy.

    I do honestly think she had a ‘thing’ with a student. I struggled with what to call it, as a 30-something doesn’t have an affair with a 17 yr old. If she was involved with him in any way, let’s face it, she definitely broke the law and abused someone under age. If the facts were there, she should have lost her liscence been charged and if found guilty been sentenced to whatever time child predators get and then be registered as a child sex offender. I do believe, if she was a male teacher, the outcome would have been totally different....but in this particular town? Maybe I’m wrong as it seems everyone that held any power back then were tainted and warped. That being said, I believe being executed in the driveway of her and her parents home was extreme and it speaks to a certain amount of rage to me. No matter who was behind this, they had a huge amount of hatred toward this woman.

Rachel was a predator, and should have been reprimanded for her actions as it pertains to Sheldon!

    I've seen now at least four different versions of this sad and bewildering tale. Lamont has one of the best here. Rachel was certainly no angel but obviously did not deserve this end. The two main culprits in Rachel's murder are her ex fiancé and her now convicted murderer 17-year-old jealous boyfriend is the stronger candidate. He might as well confess at this point, but he was obviously super jealous of his trampy teacher pseudo girlfriend (sorry about speaking ill of the dead but the truth hurts!) going out with his half-brother. Looks like a quaint old town but I'd sure never want to live there!! I kept thinking about Sly Stallone in the movie "Cop Land" during Lamont's narration! Jim C.

I think what you’re referring to is the fact that I triggered you with some truth about the man part. Others before me may have said the same, but the fact nothing is being done about it is what’s truly sad and proves my point so by all means I’m gonna say it- original or not. Kinda sad, though, you’re more worried about a KZread comment rather than the safety of our children. I would be willing to bet you are just backing this woman due to her gender. The teen daughter of the first law enforcement official AND who drove Rachel home that night was the one who had the fling with the next official who took her father's place. The photos were of her 😳 Crazy right? People thought she set Rachel up. People also thought that her father set the official up who took his place by encouraging his daughter to have relations with him to get him in trouble. It was also said that Sheldon was riding along with friends that night and had also went to the ice cream shop shortly before or after Rachel did. There were text messages between him and his brother where he told his brother where he was. He was looked at as a suspect because people thought he was jealous that his brother was now messing with her. It is believe that he hid and waited for them to drop her off. I believe Sheldon has another brother who is in the NFL. The ex fiance and the current boyfriend(Sheldon bro) were also looked at as suspects. Sheldon went on to kill at least 1 other(a friend) but I think it was an additional murder as well. Crazy how a 17 year old is suspected to be a serial killer at this point. There was soooo much more with this case. I'm glad you at least covered it to the extent that you did. Thanks!

  • @purepoison618

    @purepoison618

    @ Micaela Nicole I remember this case so well and it has drifted into my mind so many times since it happened. I watched it being reported on HLN, back when Nancy Grace, Jane Valdez-Mitchell and Ashley Banfield hosted shows there. There was just so many weird parts to this murder, that Agatha Christie couldn’t have penned a “fictional” novel about it better and sadly, this was true!! After, the shake up at HLN, I never heard so much as another word it update until today. You have added on even more oddities in this case, than I was aware of back when it happened. Thank for taking the time to comment on what you know. It’s truly such an twistedly odd case , that it has stuck with me. I wasn’t aware that 17 yr old had been convicted of another murder OR that his older step brother had an alleged fling with her also, until Lamont’s video today. I just remember how corrupt the police chief were and how they seemed to be let go before the ink had even dried that said they were hired. You have added even more details, so thank you. I feel it’s sad that for her family, her murder will never be solved but I hope I am wrong in that and at least her family will get that answer. It won’t heal that she was murdered but having answers if who and why at least stop the wondering, if every face you look at, is somehow involved. Anyway, huge thanks for updating.

She worked in the town i live..yes the Aliquippa P.D. and local politicians/officials is and has been for a long time a very corrupt department & city. My thoughts were always that her ex and/or the P.D. had something to do with her murder. Rachel had information/knowledge related to a crime in which she was to testify to a grand jury against the P.D. Jeter definitely had a motive, but it’s always been a gut feeling of mine that he didn’t do it and so her murder still remains unsolved…there are more than a few people who know.
