A Harrowing Time Drilling Oats! Plus a Crustbuster! Putting the IH Fleet to Work!

Drilling the last field of oats. But before we could do that we had to make a few tillage passes to get the seed drilled right.

    We're planting in dust here also. Nice running tractors. i put quite a few hours on a1456 identical to yours, nice pulling lots of torque.

    Pretty normal to plant and drill in dust in this part of the world. Just part of it.

    I like those d239 engines. My 574 had 8200 hours on it when I sold it and it ran well. Nice to get all the tractors out and exercise them every once in a while!

    I think I would have tried a cultipacker on those oats instead of reseeding. Just a thought unless the stand was bad👍 keep up the great videos👍👍

    Stand wasn’t good. Just easier to reseed and go on.

    Lower seeding rate at wider rows usually handles low rainfall situations better.

    Just tears up the harrows and makes it more work to fold up later.
