Hey. That's one way of seeing it - but you also need to recognise the framework they are operating in: the rule of the law, which is where Richard is coming from. We'll be releasing a Q&A session from one of our screenings in the next coups of weeks. Not many people are into this life, there is hackers settling up cnc machines for cartels and normal companies to build guns it's insane what kind of money this work can get you but no one wants to put in the effort?

"shouldn't be done because you're breaking the law, sipmle.", "it's written that way",.. Most of the time their whole point is exposing bad habits of governments, so what kind of argument is "it's written in the law" then, lol?

the law means little. there've been many laws throughout history that were horrible. Fear the law, but find ways around it.

Appreciate that the documentary producers looked at the productive side of hacking, as well as the risks.

I'd like to go into Cyber security as a pen tester, but the problem is college and having a degree in computer science for it, I just can't get the degree, Money and Grades are a problem. So as he said at the end "I'd be a good career path" only when you have the resources to do it. And I find myself fairly skilled in the subject.

How do you enumerate, scan for vulnerabilities, how do you use those vulns to gain privs. How do you expand your attack surface. I know these answers. But do you know the arguments that you need to use in order to archieve these goals in order to build a map.

Takes a ton of practice. We in the cyber security industry label this phase as ‘developing your methodology’. The more pentests you’re gonna do the more you’ll understand and one day you’ll be able to answer your own questions maybe
