Way back in the 80s when these guys came out I thought their sounds was incredible, but the radio only played the "hits". So, I went out and bought the CD. Absolutely loved this song and played it over and over while I was working in my shop aboard the aircraft carrier I was assigned. Now, here I am, age 57, and still love this song almost 35 years later.

a-ha is, without reservation, my favourite band ever. I have absolutely loved watching your reactions and I would love to see you react to more of their songs. Velvet is a good one, and Summer Moved on, but really, I'm not sure you can pick a bad song from their catalog. As for your interpretations, I think both of those could be valid. 'We will meet again', or 'just have faith that one day you will meet the one you're waiting for.'

Excellent ballad by the Norwegian band AHa! A classic from the 80s that they put in the clubs to "squeeze" haha. The lyrics are a bit cryptic but I think it speaks to us of a separation that is taking place and where her lover is asked to stay by her side in memory of the shadow of her love so that they continue along those paths where they will meet again. .

The cold has a voice It talks to me Stillborn by choice And it has no need to hold Old man feels the cold Oh baby don't 'Cause I've been told Stay on these roads We shall meet, I know Stay on my love We shall meet, I know I know Where joy should reign These skies restrain Shadows your love The voice trails off again Old man feels the cold Oh baby don't 'Cause I've been told Stay on these roads We shall meet, I know Stay on my love You feel so weak, be strong Stay on, stay on We shall meet, I know I know I know, my love, I know Winter's gone, I'm on my own Stay on these roads We shall meet, I know Stay on my love We will meet, I know So stay on, I know Stay my love, stay on We will meet, I know, I know Love I know

It struck me when I listened to this again today that he sings partly to his unborn child, partly to himself (keep going) and to the child's mother ("Oh baby don't 'Cause I've been told" - at least you shouldn't have told me), who in cold blood chooses to end the pregnancy. Even as an old man, he will feel the cold sometime in the future. Where joy should reign there is nothing but cold and sorrow of an unborn life. The video shows how his friends will help him through the pain by being there by his side, "on the road" of life.

"Scoundrel days", "living a Boys adventure tale" and "lifelines". "Lifelines" got a beautiful video which is based of a shortfilm made by some friends of my Sister. It is filmed over a year by a North Norwegian fishing village. A-ha liked it so much they bought up some of the rights, and in their version they're digitally placed in the movie.

They're the most underrated British rock band and still playing after 50 years. Magnums' style goes from soft ballads like "The last dance" and "It must have been love" (great video but look it with the 80's eyes) to rock like "When we were younger" to metal stuf and all is great. "Brand new morning" / "On a storyteller's night" are great to. Another great one who puts you in a good mood ould be Billy Joel with "It's a matter of trust" (Great good mood video)

Yes it’s about the loss of a loved one or waiting for your love you are waiting for , asking them to stay on their road until they eventually meet. He doesn’t actually say ‘meet again’ so it could be that too, waiting for your intended. But it seems to me it’s the separation of two ppl by whatever means

I recommend you to listen to a live version from 1991 in Argentina, it is much better than the studio version.
