I guarantee you're not the only chef who forgets things on KZread. You're just the only one who has the balls to own up to it. All the rest edit that stuff out. Well, ALMOST all the rest. There are a few others that don't. Pretty much the only ones I watch, as a result. Because I only respect those who can admit when they goofed up, and do so graciously. So, hats off to you Chef JP.

If you ever want to see normal people like you and me tear food like a work of art, go to a McDonald’s in Japan. You’ll be upset because you won’t have any cheese paper on the wrapper, and your single pickle will be right in the center of the burger. And everything will look like the image that made you want to get McDonald’s at Japan in the first place.
Chef, I had tough last 12 months and I discovered this channel few weeks ago. Got me out of depression and I got will and urge to cook. I love how you tell people it's okay not to have stuff and do their best. I have made some of my most delicious meals with what I decided to throw together.
Chef, your videos are never too long. I could sit and watch you cook for hours. In fact, in the world of 5 second clips that we now live in, I very much appreciate you taking the time to show everyone how to actually cook! 😁
A half-Italian French chef in America makes a pepper steak burrito with harissa aioli (made with Duke's) and brie? That's like 6 cuisines fused together, and I want to lick the screen. I can't wait to make these.
Never stop taking the huge bite Chef, it's half the reason I watch.
Last time I was here, Chef had 700k subbies, now 1.2M I'm so grateful and happy!🙏🏾
I just love this man… I love his enthusiasm… I love his passion for his food… I love his laugh… Most of all, I love his food!😊
Lord Pierre is an all American Hero. His love of sharing these cooking techniques has taken my cooking to a whole new level.
This evening in Dallas, I made your dish for ten at my home. Every single one of the guests said it was the best burrito they had ever had! "How did you learn this?" they asked. Chef JP. I made other vegetables in the wok on the side Onyo is always number 1! I would love a recipe for rice from Spain. Here it is, junk. Quack tomato sauce and salt. Not right. Prime Flank Steak was all I had but it worked like you said it would. Perfect outcome. I took it out after measuring the temperature carefully and 132F. Medium Rare (you never know what people like). They could not understand why the sauce was so good. Heh Heh He. Trade secret! They did not know (nor did I) what aioli sauce was. Not that many Americans cook at home anymore preferring to eat junk food. I haven't gone to a restaurant in 1.5 years! Once I found your channel it changed my life. Now I do all the cooking. Everyone else who comes I say, "Get outta my kitchen!: Or as you say, "You people go set the table." Then I can cook. In addition to cool recipes, you have taught me very many BASIC skills that I never have known. I have all the knives, pots, oils, and seasonings you suggest. You teach us to THINK. You are not a robot. Neither am I. THINK! Does it taste nice? No? Try again! After four times you say one is a chef on that recipe. We love you, Chef!

The recipe neglects to mention the sour cream for the sauce. . don't forget it! I was making this per the recipe and thought the sauce was missing something. I added the sour cream per the video and it makes a world of difference. In any case, these are some of the best burritos I've ever had.
Your culinary expertise knows no cultural bounds, Chef!
2nd comment... Chef JPs videos are to teach and Inspire, unlike other chefs who just want to show off their 'skills'. Chef , please do not shorten your videos. You can make them longer if you need to.
It's fair to say, most people see something like this and think it's not worth it to do all this for yourself. Not only is it worth it, not only once you get it down to a routine this will be way easier and better than microwaving something, but you will be eager to share it with others.
I am so glad I found the Chef! Every video teaches me something and his attitude is amazing!
A mexican burrito cooked French style & served like a half-cut sushi roll. I love it
You have really raised the quality of our meals, and I daily field this question from my husband--what Chef Jean-Pierre teach you today 'cause the aroma is wonderful! I would like to share an observation you might want to pass along to your viewers. I recognize there are no children in your kitchen when you are making the videos. However, many home cooks have little ones underfoot, especially when they're hungry and sniffing the wonderful smells your recipes create. For their safety, it's important the pan handles be turned toward the range and never extending over the edge and accessible to the kids. Thank you, Chef, for the cooking lessons and recipes. My family are big fans!
The final cross section looks absolutely delicious

3 of my favorite things. Steak. Peppers. Chef JP videos. Today is a good day.
Hello Chef JP. I made your Steak Burrito for dinner tonight. It was delicious, But my skirt steak was too thick. After cooking and resting, when I sliced into it, the centre was very “rear” and blue in some places. I had to put it back into the pan and cook it longer. After the second time, It was still rear, but we ate it anyway. Fortunately, my husband wasn’t here, because he wouldn’t have eaten it. He doesn’t like beef that is still “mooing” on his plate. lol. I don’t know if the meat was inner or outer skirt. By the way JP, I live in NSW, Australia. I only found your channel a few months ago, and get lots of giggles from you. I have also made your chocolate moose yum, yum, yum and the clarified butter. I grew up on a dairy farm in Victoria, and nothing BEATS BUTTER.

If MCJP needs to step out of the fabulous foundation of French cuisine to bring difficult yet ultra popular cuisine to the machine then I'm all for it! Bravo!
These videos always fix a dull morning.
I've decided Jack had the best job. All he had to do is make sure stuff is in focus and then he gets to eat that delicious food you cook.
Another amazing dish Chef! I watched this and I went into my kitchen where my husband was eating lunch and the first words out of my mouth were "Well, I know what we're having next week. Chef just uploaded a new recipe and I'm going to make it because it looked so epically good!"
You forget something, but that’s what makes it real! Those moments build trust and confidence that it’s not difficult and encourages us to try it as well
I made these and they are wonderful! I had 2 skirt steaks each about the size of a saucer. I cooked 1 of them to med rare and 1 to medium. The medium rare was amazing! The medium while still very tasty wasn’t as good as the medium rare. Thanks Chef.
The silence while you were chewing on that burrito was hilarious, chef JP... But it said it all!
Yum

That is the most elegantly made burrito I’ve ever seen put together- I should know; I’m Spanish. ¡Buen hecho Chef! ¡Bravo!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Fantastic stuff, chef! Tip from a Texan: I like to steam the tortilla for just a few seconds before wrapping the burrito--a wire screen over a skillet of barely simmering water for about 5 seconds on each side--so that the stiff tortilla doesn't crack when it's folded over. If it's good in a sandwich, it's better in a burrito, y'all!

Hell, the forgetting is what makes this a REAL cooking channel... Cause you're actually cooking! It happens. It happens when people really cook... And real people relate to that.
I lnow I have to make this because, for the first time in my long history of watching cooking, I have the exact ingredients for the aioli sauce. Duke’s mayo, Daisey sour cream, Grey Poupon, and Marina harissa. Exact! Those veg looked wonderful! We love Chef Jean-Pierre!
this man is a legend, I try one of his recipes once every month.
After watching your videos I think I found my dream job, being a chef
I'm on a really hard diet these days (months) so almost nothing of Chef Jean Pierre's recipes can fit me as food - but as instructional entertainment - it sure can! Thankfully, I can cook REALLY GOOD food that is not half fat half something-to-balance-it, and I DO enjoy vegetables meats fish and other things even without butter and oil in overwhelming quantities. So for now I'm OK. What I take from this video - 1) That burrito can have steak in it (The only ones I ate in Mexico and California didn't - only minimal amount of ground beef with beans, tomatoes guacamole and sometimes sour-cream and some peppers) 2) That they don't hang you for crisping your burrito in a pan AFTER it's already ready to eat... 3) That skirt-stake may be the preferable piece of meat for sandwiches, burritos, pita-bread and other beef-in-bread combinations 4) That when you cut steak for sandwich (burrito etc.) it is really important to cut against the grain. I now recall SO MANY TIMES I struggled with steak-sandwiches that I couldn't take a bite from, without dragging out most of the meat. That's the solution. BTW - are you sure you fold burrito like this? never saw it that way before... it looks like a Chinese egg-roll to me! That's more than enough for a 10 min lesson, right??

This looks like a delicious burrito! With a few French touches like Brie and aioli, and Moroccan harissa, which are not Mexican, but this is the era of mixing it up a bit, “fusion” ! It’s wonderful! The hard part is finding good tortillas that aren’t too thick and doughy like the standard supermarket varieties. If you can find artisanal “home made” ones….great!!
I find it fascinating that a chef of French & Italian descent can take ingredients from France, Italy, Great Britain, & China & put them all together in what is considered a Mexican dish.❤❤😊
I'm making this tonight. I've got the steak marinating in the fridge, I've got the onions and bell peppers julienned, the Brie has been in the freezer for ten minutes, and I'm going to make the harissa aioli using roasted garlic instead of fresh garlic. Looking forward to it!
I love it when Chef busts out the brie. And he always does my taste buds right with the cheddars. Perfect combination. I hope everyone tries it exactly with these cheeses. Add gruyere too for the ultimate cheese trio combination. Cheese head here so its important to me. *Chef Jean-Pierre*, When you have the opportunity *PLEASE!!!* Do something with Morel mushrooms. I cant ask this enough. I wanna go morel mushroom hunting, and when I do find them, I need to have seen you do it at least once. Thank you for your time and consideration. God Bless you Chef, and God Bless America 💪😎🇺🇸
