    I understand that it really depends on which vertebrae get fused but it was still so reassuring hearing and seeing you showcase your mobility post surgery. Thanks for sharing this!

    Thumbs up! Clear expression and clarification from your individual medical surgery and recovery experience! Love you with fully support!! Happy New Year 2022 in deepest wishes from our family!!! My older son is in third year of university now and he has similar degree curve as your previous but he hasn’t ready for surgery yet because his Surgeon suggested wait and see and he isn’t in much pain as you had before your surgery. So, we are hoping more modern technology may offer better surgery results reducing side effects. But as Mum, I really worry about his symptoms/curve worsened since we discovered almost 4 years ago.

    I have almost like ur spine but my degree was 48 in lumber part and 13 in the thoracic part Did u have neurological pain while walking after the surgery? I am right now in the first month of healing 22 days r gone I stopped the pain medications directly after 8 days i have pain but i can tolerate it so gd But unfortunately i have now a leg which is longer than the other in 1cm and i got a support for that but still i have neurological pain The other thing that my pelvis now is rotated to the front I have no idea if it will back to its position after the 3 months Before the surgery i had no longer leg and no prob in my pelvis I hope that it get adjusted later on so i don’t feel bad about the surgery 😢

    I just had my surgery 3 weeks ago! I want to know in how much months after surgery you could run? I love going out for a run but I don’t know if in 6 months will be ok

    Hi! Exciting! I hope your recovery is going well :) You will have to check in with your doctor on that. They will be able to give you a much better idea. I was given the green light for light physical activity at 6 months, which included light jogs. But again, listen to your doctor - everyones experience is going to be different!

    @@MaddyA thank you so much!!! Ok! Recovery has been good but it’s a bit frustrating because I can’t do some things by myself and I haven’t find the right way to make my skincare routine by myself before sleeping :/

    Hi! This is something you would need to talk to your doctor about! If it’s something you’re comfortable moving forward and you have the means to do so, see what they say 😊

    Do you feel the rods?

  • @MaddyA

    @MaddyA

    nope! at least i dont think i have ever felt them. in the surgery they typically do a bone graft over the rods so they are covered.

    Unfortunately reality of such a surgery at your age.. it will not last and arthritis tends to appear throughout the rest of the spine as a result. It will be a tough road to say thr least. I truly wish you the best.

    So far things are going great! It is a reality for many people regardless of having surgery or not but daily movement has and will continue to help :)
