Hello hello my friends!!
Shop my Amazon Storefront get your hands on some of the ~must haves~ I talk about in todays video:
Columbia Winter Coat (new version): www.amazon.ca/Columbia-Womens...
Blundstone Boots: www.amazon.ca/Blundstone-Wome...
Sorel Boots: www.amazon.ca/Sorel-Womens-Wh...
This video took me a hot minute to film because I needed to wait for the weather to cooperate haha! Vancouver has predictable but temperamental weather. For those of you coming from outside of Canada, or even just another part of Canada, I thought I would share some clothing items that are "essential" if you plan on living in Vancouver.
In general, Vancouver is rainy ☔️, wet 🌧, cold ❄️, and windy 💨 in the fall and winter. Not particularly enjoyable if you ask me. But in the spring it is gorgeous... the pros outweigh the cons for sure. Some rain but lots of sun ☀️ and flowers starting to bloom! Here is a little breakdown of the general weather trends throughout the school year!
🌦 In the fall, Vancouver is still pretty warm (about 12-16°C) with a mix of sunny and rainy days. September to October is usually still pretty nice in terms of weather and temperature and its not until the middle/end of October that we start to see more cloudy, rainy days.
🌧 October and November are pretty dark, grey, and wet months. There are some nicer days scattered throughout but not too many. Its usually about 5-11°C so at this point it is starting to cool down.
🌨 December through to February is probably the coldest part of the year with temperatures ranging from -5-6°C and lots of rain, some snow if we're lucky (or a lot if we are reallllllly lucky), and a little bit of sun. It's a pretty wet winter I won't lie.
🌦March and April are even rainier. Rain is Vancouver's favourite weather. There are some sunny days throughout and it is starting to get warmer at this point. I'd say on average it's between 8-15°C. The flowers on campus start to bloom and things start to come alive again... spring at UBC is beautiful!
Hopefully y'all get a chance to experience it for yourselves one day!

Hey Maddy! I'm an international student and I'm starting at UBC this fall at year 2. Your videos are so much fun an it really helped me with my essays. It's entirely your videos that got me admission at UBC science. THANK YOU! Oh and I've never seen snow before so thanks for the tips.

this was so helpful, i was literally just thinking about what type of coat i should buy. thank you!! currently trying to decide whether to get a short puffer coat or a longer one that covers my thighs..... wondering if it’s cold enough to need that extra length

Yay I am glad! I personally like long ones that cover my butt... that way if you have sit outside your butt doesn't get as wet/cold. I also just run really cold so having the extra length is great. Then again its completely up to you!

Hi Maddy! I'll be flying to Canada this December and I just wanted to know like is it normal to wear the same coat everyday at school throughout the winter season? Coats are very expensive and I don't have the luxury to buy tons of them. This question is so random but I wish you can answer me. Greetings from Indonesia 💚

@@xo7454 Because it's damp cold here. The cold seeps to the bones, so any thick thermal water resistant jackets are an absolute must here in Vancouver! And Parkas are super warm so they're a go to for most people here. Myself included. :)
