Doesn’t matter what ethnicity you come from. This a story we can all relate to when our lives gives us obstacles to go against to. We need to give each other support to fulfill our dreams. God bless everyone that breaks through our trials. 🙏❤️
Great Movie. I'm glad She went to the college that She wanted to go to. Her Mother was putting too much pressure on her and I'm glad that She spoke up for herself.
This movie is really emotional, like i could feel her pain It's not easy to take responsibility when you are just a child. It's really hard for kids out there

The mother was selfish and insensitive, pushing her responsibilities on his kids, they didn't get the privilege to enjoy their childhood.... what a mother

If’s this movie was made in Hollywood by the people who runs Hollywood, you will not have a black movie encouraging black people to go after their dreams at the end of the movie, Hollywood only shows the exhausting struggle, every black movies have the same problem- black boy is a drug dealer or gang member, And the mother in the movie always angry or not rational, and when the black boy at the white girlfriend house, the house is very beautiful, why he’s is not dating a poor white trash, because there are more poor white trash in America then rich white girl, but’s, the stereotype is, all white peoples have money, so…. The movie was a trashy movie, because I know what’s Hollywood are pushing into our brain. We ( black people) need to wake-up..Hollywood is very evil towards making black people image positive in movies or commercials and T.V.
As a mother with a daughter who is about to start university this fall as well as my own journey through academic success, this film has touched so many understandable themes. I shared with my daughter and can’t wait to get her reaction because I see her coming through Kalani! CHEERS TO ALL OUR STRONG DETERMINED GIRLS WHO UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENT DESPITE OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES! Much Blessings.
Strive....no matter what. ❤ this movie. Very inspirational. I cried so much.
Watching from Kenya 🇰🇪
I wanted to blame the baby sister for the big brother's death but on a second thought I said even if he didn't die the way he did he would have definitely die young because of the lifestyle he's living and the only person to be blamed for his death is the mother for being so irresponsible involving the children to overdo adult stuffs not allowing them to be children. Nice movie and very emotional.

Yes, there is a whole generation of children who some parents put a lot of responsibilities on. Don’t give up, be encouraged and move forward. Be blessed! From USA 🇺🇸, North Carolina
The mom was very unfair unfortunately its an African tradition where when the parents they place there responsibility on the eldest

This was a very good movie and it made me cry because I growed up without my mother and raised my by dad and life if can be frustrating because of how life is presented to use 💔 😞 😢 🙏 alot of hurt shame and pain and stress and forced situations from family and much jealousy just breaks my heart daily. So many people are going through alot of things alot of us won't understand but we judge and create this madness that's uncontrollable with much hate. It's hard to live a good life round so many messed up people. This movie inspired me and made cry because my life has been a mess and so hurtful but I'm still pushing through.
How can a mama want stand in her child's way. Oh Lord....
Beautiful movie. Shared tears when she returned to thank the old man.
This movie really touched me. I have watch and glad that the girl make a good choice for her dreams in future. And the old man is very supportive by uplifted the girl challenges of what now she become. God work through many trials and hardship in life through our belief and trust that we have faith and confidence. 🙏❤
I have to cry this hard😢 It really not easy but God by our side we will never give up on our dreams never😢
I love her so much. She's so supportive and she doesn't give up easily ❤

This is amazing, a reflection of my primary -University life😢😢 so full of bad experiences but God is faithful. I'll pull through 🤞🏿✌🏿
I saw myself being reflected in culony's life. Taking up responsibilities not meant for you and striving to be better in life. I'm glad i made it through and still striving

Anyone know the name of the song that played before the last one. It talked about striving when it gets hard and even though crying to keep going because it’s my turn!
Watching from St Lucia very inspiration🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨
This movie got me thinking about how awesome God ha been in my life and seeing how I have struggled to raise my children but I always encourage myself never to allow my children take the responsibility at the age there not able to do so...... Every situation in a person's life has a solution.... It was bad for the mother to be telling the children to take responsibility for the bills at home I have learned a lot
That moment after Jacobs passing,gt me in shades of tears.so nostalgic,I saw my life here
this needs to be remade .... its felt like it was my story..but my mom is not selfish
Having someone to turn to in hard times is a great blessing, nice movie🥂
