A Ghost Moves In With The Stephens | Bewitched
Sam (Elizabeth Montgomery) has convinced an old ghost (Ronald Long) to stop haunting a castle and move to more comfortable quarters... too bad those quarters are actually the Stephens' house!
From Season 4 Episode 23 'McTavish' - Aunt Clara's boyfriend Ockie has a castle that is haunted by a most disagreeable ghost. Samantha goes to England to help him and runs into her vacationing in-laws. After the ghost leaves he takes up residence in the Stephens' house.

@@missmiss975 defintely. Dick Sargent always seemed angry and un-likeable. Dick York much better, even soft at times. And more comical too.
samantha is good at talking to ghosts. she sure make that ghost happy
LOL....this episode was one the best ever aired!!! Love how Mrs. Stephens just forces her way into the library and busts Samantha - and gets freaked out by Sam popping out and the sight of the ghost!

I think this show partially formed, at a young age, what a family life is like!! I am not talking about the witchcraft but, how nice everyone was to each other!!

Sam. You talked the ghost into moving in, sort of. Darrin's mother experienced a similar situation like Gladys has been trying to get people to believe what she's been seeing where Sam and her family is concerned. Love Aunt Clara arriving with McTavish's picture and tells Sam, He thanks you for getting rid of the mote. 🙂
The episode that showed on the day of my birth. My God 56 years ago. I absolutely love Bewitched. What an amazing show and cast.❤
I love Bewitched. I love this episode. Having said that, I just now realized, even after seeing this episode thousands of times, that I have a couple of issues with it. 1️⃣st: the word 'ghost' implies that, that person is dead. So why, or how, is said ghost affected by central heating or A/C❓️. 2️⃣nd, after watching my new favorite show, "Ghosts" , ghosts are supposed to be forever tied to the place where they died. (And yes, I also heard that elsewhere, not just on "Ghosts"). Now I know that it's just a sitcom about fantastical beings like witches🧙♀️ and ghosts 👻, but for some reason I just realized that it doesn't make sense. And Samantha made a tactical error when she said McTavish could go anywhere, even Americ🇺🇲. But then there'd be no Story. OK, I'm done. Still loved the episode, I mean, it's Bewitched, after all.
I love this episode and all of them I just love this show Bewitched with Samantha!!💖👍👍👻🧟🧛
The love between this Darrin and Samantha was a lot more believable and seemed heartwarming and real.

It sounds like bells. They used variable speed tape decks to manipulate the sound effect's pitch and tone and added echo and reverb.

Hi Ms Harper Stacey ❗️Didn't Ronald Long play the giant in the episode where Samantha climbs the Beanstalk❓️I don't know the name of the episode, but I know you know. Also, I went on a bit of a rant on another recent episode about the ghost named McTavish. I hope you check it out. It's not bad, really. Just my useless opinion. But trust me, I loved that episode.

I think Darren should be more accepting of Samantha's witchcraft, I mean she's made a lot of concessions to him already.
