This seems like magic to me. I saw you do the repair with my own eyes but it is nearly invisible once you have finished. You are extremely skilled!

This was excellent, not only for the sewing technique, but because you had the forethought to try and match, as closely as possible, the denim fabric you used for the patches. Choosing repair fabric with similar colour, "wear pattern", and direction of the weave to the area needing repair in the article of clothing, is very important... for a repair to turn out this well. Bravo!

Excellent repair. The important thing is to remember not to “stretch” the hole when mending. Keep the tucked in edge longer, and pull the thread taut at each stitch. This lady is a fantastic seamstress. She really knows her stuff. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The part that really amazed me was you sewed through three layers of denim without a thimble on your pushing finger. Your needle and thread seemed to just glide through. Just amazing. When I repaired my husband's jeans by hand, even with a thimble my fingers were hurting. Beautiful repair job by the way. Thank you for the video, greatly appreciated it. @@wtedwards3883 it might but you'd have to find a fabric made of the same fibers, preferably from the same pair of jeans (like the bottom for example) as well as match the direction of the weave perfectly in case the fabric stretches more in one direction

Incredibly skillful! This crotch section is what always wears out on my favorite jeans... your technique is way better than the simple iron-on patches I typically use.

Those patches tend to fall off over time. The wearing, washing and drying make them come loose. I learned to sew the edges down to keep them on longer.

You can cut the butt of pants out undo the inside seems then cut out the butt get a piece of denim sew a new butt in by sewing over the removed part think like riding pants sew ininside seem . There use to be a ladies pant maker maybe Gloria Vanderbilt that had a rear seem like that. My daughter loved those patched jeans.

Incredible work! I am so impressed that you have mastered an extremely difficult (and unfortunate!) repair job and made it look easy. Better than that, it's almost completely unnoticeable, which, to me, is an incredible feat in repair work. I've had a favorite pair of Joe Jeans with this very issue sitting on my repair rack for (embarrassingly) a couple of years, at least. I'm so thrilled that I can finally repair them properly without them looking ridiculous in the end (here's hoping, at least). Hats off to you, friend! This seems way better than what I've been doing. I once watched a jean repair video and the guy stuck cloth inside and then did constant zig zag stiches in jean colored thread. I've done it, but the jeans often rip again where the old hole seams were. Definitely going to switch methods.

I’m an old seamstress and I used to do a similar repair job to gents trousers but the job I done was all done on a sewing machine, it was called a reseat , you have done an amazing job done by hand I have also done this by hand too, I enjoyed watching your repair job.

Why repair the hole these days ppl r wearing their jeans rip/torn. The more holes the better. 😅

Amazing work. Problem is not everyone will have the same capabilities to do such fine repairs. And the cost for someone else to repair such holes would exceed the cost of a new pair. Thumbs Up!

That is true. But where I live it's not possible to get a new pair of jeans that I actually prefer, otherwise I wouldn't care for videos like this. To be honest the best jeans I can get I find in the second hand shops as shopping malls are full of low quality jeans, mostly or all Chinese.

Great repair job. I hate it when an old faithful pair of jeans tear up. I had to wear khaki pants for work. I had a pair that had lasted several years and outlasted many pairs that were newer than them. They fit well and looked nice but finally got a hole in the seat. I patched and repaired them to get another year or two out of them but finally, the whole seat was so thin I was afraid of a major wardrobe malfunction and threw them away.

Beautiful job. At first I could not understand why she left those wear stripes uncovered but soon realized they echo the line of the repair and being nearly parallel they draw your eye away from the patch. Matching the color and grain of the fabric makes a huge difference. She's a genius in her field!

Great sewing technique! 👍 Since I have most jeans several times, it would be no problem to get patches in the same color. A broken one is then used for this. BUT getting sewing thread in the same color is much more difficult, because I prefer acid washed jeans, whose color will be lighter in some places, sometimes darker.

I used grey thread for my repair. The stitches are just about invisible due to the hand-stitching method so a neutral colour will be fine. I wouldn't recommend white but a pale blue or a blue-grey should be fine.
