A Functional Trainer Cable System for All 3x3" Racks | Dialed Motion Sidewinder | Designer's Tour

The Sidewinder is a rack mounted functional trainer cable system made to work with any 3x3" rack. This includes squat stands, 4-post racks, and 6-post racks. We designed it to be as universal as possible, so it works with all the big names: Rogue, REP, Titan, and more.

I preordered the sidewinder recently. Is this capable of doing lat pulldowns? I've seen a video of someone adding a pulley to the arm for this. Is an additional pulley needed and/or included?

You could also potentially do a set-up like this if you're more interested in the trolley system instagram.com/reel/CsJvUjuJf4b/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Guys, it is a good system but with all the options out there no one is wanting to use a loading pin unless they can't afford a better option but your system is priced so high that Honestly I don't get why anyone would buy your system. I'm just giving you honest feedback as I have no skin in the game. I have to use a loading pin and I have to pay this inflated price, Wow, I'm not understanding what your expecting of the consumers. Good Luck to you but until you lower the price I'm not seeing it. Also, hardly anybody knows of your device, you need to advertise. Other than a youtube video review where you sent the devise free to have reviewed, people have barely heard of this device. Come out with one without a loading pin and ask a reasonable price. That is an honest take from an objective gym owner

I appreciate you taking the time to leave us the honest feedback. We originally designed the Sidewinder System for our 2 post squat stand. We didn’t have enough space for a stand alone functional trainer and we wanted simpler height adjustment. We started teasing this system and got some interest. But you are right, a lot of people were weary about using a load pin and not willing to pay what we currently need to sell it for. We then designed our Ibex system which uses the same cable retractor concept but uses a weight trolley. People immediately saw it as much higher value and in our first preorder round. The ibex (trolley) system was the majority of our sales. I personally love using the sidewinder even though it uses the dreaded load pin. It fixes a bunch of the issues with other load pin systems. Swing is not an issue because it is hanging from a stationary pulley. Loading is much easier when you can unclip the retractor and have it hover above the load pin while loading. Height adjustments are no problem. Also, I would say it is one of the smoothest functional trainers out there because of the minimal amount of pulleys and free hanging weight, and it stores in a tiny space leaving your rack open. As far as advertising goes. We have been overwhelmed with interest (mostly for the ibex). We closed the first preorder early due to reaching our 200 system goal, so we haven’t needed to put too many resources into advertising. We want to start off at a reasonable pace and get quality right. We plan to do more advertising and influencer reviews during the second preorder round. Again, I appreciate the feedback.

@@dialedmotion Oh Yeah, your trolley set up is a KEEPER, very nice. I found your product due to my extensive research of a cable system in my other gym. I narrowed my search to the REP Arcadia $2000 or a set up from ETE (Exteme Training Equipment). They have a half rack with a very nice selectorized system for $2200. I've been researching for 2 months and I came across your product and was excited so I think you have a winner if you can keep the price competitive. I love your trolley system and you have my thoughts on loading pins from my original comment, anyway I wish Y'all well and hey you already sold out of your first order of 200 units then maybe there are some loading pin people out there. I really do think Y'all are a Class act, that is high praise down here in Charlotte Take Care
