I agree. Kindergarten is tough. We’ve been going and NOT stopping. I’m alone with 21 kids and it’s my first year. It’s a lot

You've inspired me to get a heated brush. I wear hijab 🧕🏻, so I cover my hair and it doesn't really matter to me what it looks like, but I wear my hair in a bun most of the day and it feels a lot better when it's brushed really well and straightened. Plus, I live in Wyoming so it feels so good to have a little heat on those harsh winter mornings. Anyway thank you for the recommendation. Glad you had a safe and fun trip. This is soo different to england!!! We have reception (also known as foundation stage) which is equivalent to kindergarten and the first year of school and it is majority play based. We work of the eyfs scheme which follows key principles of early childhood development so the reception day includes lots of free flow indoor and outdoor play exploring a range of activities set up. While we do have a very small amount of sit down time for songs, calendar phonics and maths it is nothing like this at all and testing in the way shown is almost non existant as the majority of assessment is done by observation. You as a teacher are amazing and doing an incredible job with what you have to work with but it does make me sad that children this young don't have the same opportunities for play as in most schools in England. 😢❤

Hey Madison, I just started watching your videos… I was watching you do your hair and I thought I would let you know that I have that same Lange brush. I also wanted to let you know that it was a straightening brush because you said something about not wanted to flat iron your hair and just needed to "tame" it but I just wanted to say that, that is a straightening brush. Me too! I also work as an afterschool teacher, and from what I’ve seen you’ll have standards that your children will need to meet by the time the school year ends. But you can also get creative in how you teach them, and teach them some skills that you would want them to know. For example, when I was in 6th grade I was taught cursive even though my teacher said it wasn’t required.

Kindergarten is the new first grade. I work as an assistant teacher in a Pre K room which is Pre K is more like the crafts and the fun stuff. Lol but in my district Pre K is a little crazy because they have closed a lot of early intervention classrooms so we have like three special needs students in our room they are all good thought. I work with mostly hindu and muslim students and I love it. But I would love to maybe be a pre k or kindergarten teacher someday. I have a bachelors in education but I don't have my certrifaction. so I would have to get that. my dream grade is kindergarten but I have more experience in Pre K.
