Hi if you are breastfeeding and bottle feeding it is recommended to pump to replace the feed that is given by bottle instead of the breast. This way your milk supply can stay consistent with your baby's needs. I understand not wanting to be the sole source of feeds because my second never took a bottle so I exclusively breast fed for 12 months 😅. Also, keep in mind your milk can change depending on your baby's needs. For example, if baby is sick their siliva on your nipples can let your body know to pump up the antibodies in your milk and also it will get fattier as baby gets older. Just food for thought. But a fed baby is a healthy baby no matter how it's done!

Def use an extra caddy for a car kit! Put some diapers, small wipe pack, extra outfit for if you run out with your diaper bag or forget it! I love our car stash, it's been a lifesaver!

Yes! I would pack two outfits for when you forget to replace the first one you used. Even if it’s a size up. Which is probably better as an emergency outfit.

My baby boy loved that fish tank that hangs on the crib. He was in the nicu for 11 months and that was his favorite thing to just watch! 🩵🩵

Best advise I ever got came from my midwife which said, that I just should go after my gutfeeling. As womans are naturally "made, equiped" for taking care of babies, our gut will tell us how it works best for our babie. My daughter is 7 now and it works totally fine for me to Listen to tipps, tricks and advise from others but simple just went after my gutfeeling for my actions.

I started using the mates as soon as my son got home for tummy time.

We used our play matt since day 1 for tummy time. My son didn't like tummy time to a matt helped make it a little more fun

A lot of people use the water thing hanging on the side of the crib so baby can look at it and listen to the sound and watch the fish swim you can start tummy as early as you want

This was so fun and relaxing

You can get a bunch of one sizes of diapers, then if your baby out grows them and you still have them you can take them to local target or Walmart to exchange them to the new sizes! 🤗

A diaper caddy designated for sick times is super helpful. You don’t need those things all the time, but it’s nice to not hunt for the stuff and it’s all together. You can use another one for breastfeeding essentials (haakaa, nipple shields, pump parts, nipple cream, etc) caddies are great!

I really hope that you like the brands of diapers since you already took them out of the boxes! I understand it takes up a lot of room, but we ended up trading in quite a few pampers’s diapers for Huggies because we didn’t like pampers! ♥️♥️

I know you're prolly getting more advice than you'd like, but in my experience (I'm a mom to my first who's almost 1 year old, and I stay at home with her) I would introduce bottles in the 2nd month - it gives you time to get a good foundation with breastfeeding, but not enough time that he won't want to drink from a bottle. Also! Pump whenever you miss a feed or skip a feed. Also, and I wish I would have, introduce a pacifier as soon as you want. The hospital told me I should give my baby one until she was comfortable breastfeeding, and by then it was too late and she hates them. :( Best of luck with baby boy!

Me personally i would put all his extra clothes like the 3-6 and 6 months and up in them gray bins. Then newborn out and 0-3 months out

I believe it was generation 1 that was recalled! I have gen 2 :)

Alittle tip, don't use pacifiers for the first 2 months or 3 months of breastfeeding. My lactation consultant pacifers while breastfeeding will confuse baby and latching.

I’ve breastfed three and they also had pacifiers and bottles of breast milk. No nipple confusion with any of them 🙂

I highly recommend having lactation consultant coming in during your hospital stay. I had went to some breastfeeding classes during my last few months of pregnancy that helped. They told me tips and tricks and different holds.

Baby formula is so expensive!

I would put the trash can in your room because you're gonna be mainly changing him in your room.

Girl you breastfeed at night and bottle feed during the day the breast puts them to sleep faster than a bottle just saying I did it and work well

Madison, just know that introducing the bottle will decrease your milk supply for your baby.
