The 7th floor is beautiful! I love every gray hair, age spot and laugh lines. Gratitude for every day.

One more thing, I have just departed the 6th floor and am enjoying the view on the 7th! What a lovely way to consider living.

Happy belated birthday. I am a long time viewer and a huge fan of your patterns. I wanted to thank you for sharing the comments about the “sixth floor”. I am a gerontologist and spend most of my time teaching and thinking about ageism. It is rampant . The evidence is very clear that a positive attitude about aging results in a much higher quality of life. So many thanks for the reference to the “sixth floor”, I will be using that in my lectures 🙂.

Happy 6th Floor to you !! Such a nice way to think of “Life”, eh? Mentally I’m 27, and still am… (ahem), but physically, some days I feel 103. But I’m knitting !!! That’s the Best part! I would love to know more about that knitting journal of yours, especially how you keep track of the rows (essentially all that crossing out you do, ha ha!). It's definitely more practical than carrying around loose papers!

I loving what I’m knitting!! It’s the lovely Butterfly Blanket for which I have you to thank!! I have a Virginia Turner doll that I think needs a blanket and I’m currently deciding how to adjust yarn and repeats of the pattern to accommodate the change in size of the finished product. Keeps my mind agile. Ha! Enjoy your 60’s! I loved that decade! The decades just keep getting better and better In spite of the added challenges. So glad you are able to travel. I have been bless to travel and so enjoy it. I am in my “80th” year so I’m looking at a leap into a new decade in October! Your sweaters are simply gorgeous! I do so enjoy your stories about the process-I’m always trying to “improve” the patterns and probably should have just followed the patterns. One would think I’d learn…. Leslie, you are a classy woman, and a seed stuck in your teeth would not have bothered anyone. I think it is funny that your family was opposed to the posting of that ´flawed´episode. It only shows you are human. And that is a good thing. By the way, I love your haircut. That hot pink-fuschia also looked really good on you! The sixth floor view is a thing 😄 I find it incredible that I am in my sixties, but I have to say, life has become way better for so many reasons. I think if you have worked hard in the earlier years, you definitely deserve to have a shot at the view from here. It´s glorious!

From another Pittsburgh area knitter, yes the sunrise was breathtaking this morning! I’m happy I woke up early enough to see it! Regarding fitting your knits to suit yourself, I just finished my second Eva Cardigan. I made the body just a little longer, and tapered the sleeves, and most importantly, added pockets! A cardigan needs pockets! I couldn’t be happier with the result!
