Being a Tamil living in Bangalore and have frequently traveled to actual Udupi..noticed the difference...actual Udupi district Food is so good and tasty.. but most namesake Udupi hotels in Bangalore are fake and do not have that authentic taste.. even the sambhar served in Udupi hotels in Bangalore is sweet and does not have dal.. but in actual udupi the dosa is also big and crispy and also sambhar, chutney tastes far better.
