I love this type of riding,my top tip is to watch the wheels of the vehicle in front to judge depth and stay straight in case of slippery grids etc under the water.

Good advice .. also you can use the vehicle in front to part the water if you time it right . .. not all roads were open technically lol

first! Yep that storm caught me out as well (live in Newdigate near Betchworth) I was riding a 40 year old Harley Davidson sportster, which of course broke down, had to wait for hours in the smashing rain for a lift - no one could get to me because of the closed roads etc Fun times!

Is that a DCT AT? I bought the 2018 Aventure Sport manual, if it is DCT which do you prefer? I'm thinking of upgrading my AT soon

It’s a dct … my second one , I’ve also had a manual as well .. for me I like the dct but it takes getting used to

how do you deal with spray on the visor, I have a pin lock system so don't fog up, but spray on the visor is a big problem, especially on motorways.

Rainx plastic, in this weather you'd probably have to reapply it every other day but it works wonders for beading up water

I just wipe it with my glove but sometimes use a vee wipe or speed up and the wind blows it off 😂
