@@rid2148 definitely not, he's playing tekken tag HD on the ps3. Even with the upscaling on the ps2 emulator, it would not look as good and run so cleanly, regardless of his machine.

@@acydrayn73 i agree with that but I'm no pro so i really wouldn't care as long as i had my favourite character i would play

missing a few important things here: Jacks were heavy and class 4 launchers only gave float juggles against them. Tag had stamina classes. Jacks had more health than the average character. Devil had way more than Heihachi. Ling was terrible. I would love for Kuma to have higher health and the old weight back. Made the game more dynamic.

Stuff like that serves well to notice how things evolve, Harada himself stated on an interview that back in the T3/TTT1 days, those games cant even be considered fighting games and says literally "Idk what the hell we were thinking" but again is nice to see how Tekken has evolved.

I remember that Bruce in Tekken 2 could take off...I'd say aound 85% of your HP with just one throw chain? Some of the sub-bosses are harder than the actual bosses, that's all I'm gonna say.

I mained Julia in tag 1 I had more fun than most people :p

I am sure they did this on purpose, Prototype Jack seems to be a joke character, intended to use in casual scenarios by decent players when they are playing against really awful players that don't have an idea of what they are doing or something.

I love TTT1 to death. It's super turbo for old school tekken-heads...but yeah, this game was not balanced AT ALL one thing to note about the damage thing: P.Jack did have some of the higher health in the game. Doesn't make up for how much more he took, ESPECIALLY with the hold tech roll/ground hitting system where you couldn't tech when you were low to the ground.

Give him a break TMM, he was just a prototype.

Is more than a myth. Namco was thinking to add a character with Jack damage potential and Law "speed" in Tekken 1 when it was only in Arcades. Then they abandoned the idea cause it would be too op (but they gave king a +93 move, ok).

I think that the developers thought that the people wont dig so deep into the game and will only play for fun. so who cares about balancing ? if your player base are casuals only it doesnt matter how unbalanced the characters are... p.jack just looked different and thats what make him interesting

It's based around your characters movement, and some char move a lot during their idle stance

For me, it honestly feels good to know how terrible P-Jack is as a character. When I was younger, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was my first Tekken game, and P-Jack absolutely terrified me, like to the point of shutting of my Wii U, and leaving the room whenever I had to play against him, I even have vivid memories of my Dad forcing me to sit down and play against P-Jack to help me get over my fear of him. Fast forward to present day, and I see this, and the 4th Grader inside me is screaming in joy.

TMM all those Jin combos can be done on all or most characters. Jin gets 2 laser scrapers on all jacks. but tbh the balancing is what makes this game so charming and fun to play.

Also P Jack was fan service for the most part, any of us that came from the Tekken 2 era remember him well. Tag was about stacking the roster high. And again before the huge KZread and social media many couldn't spread the imbalances that existed, at least widely.

Wtf this means that anyone can play with jin by one means to not play P. Jack!?

Yup! He's probably right. Tekken tag 1 is just so unbalanced. But this tekken is the one started the whole tekken tournament.
