I'm ok with a piece that challenges me if I think it is not way out of my ability level. I'm finding, that if I go more slowly and focus on smaller sections of the tune, I can eventually begin to work through the sections that are difficult for me. I think a little "adversity" actually raises my skill level over time if I'm patient enough.
