I did this video last year, dedicating it to a fan of mine, Dan Foreman. He wanted me to sing on his version of “Show Must Go On”. He played all of the instruments while undergoing cancer treatment. He went into remission, and shortly after, the cancer came back. He put up a big fight, and sadly he lost the fight this morning. I tried to keep in touch with Dan as much as possible, and we talked music. Dan carried with him an attitude of resilience and positivity right to the very end. He never stopped making jokes and being light hearted. I’m happy I got to record on his cover, and I’m happy I had the opportunity to talk to someone as strong as him. He inspired me a lot. Rest in peace, Dan.

As said in the intro, I answered an e-mail from a fan, Dan Foreman, who asked if I could sing on his version of "Show Must Go On" by Queen. He had produced the instrumental while undergoing cancer treatment and wanted to have a lasting memory as a reminder that music can get us through hard times. I had agreed to be apart of it, but as a perfectionist I wanted to practice getting the performance right, and it ended up going on the back burner for a little while. Since the first day he contacted me, we have become pen pals, sharing life updates from time to time, and recently Dan revealed that he's back in the hospital. I told him I wanted to do this right now to give him a boost and keep the energy high. He did a fantastic job with the arrangement and it serves as a reminder to me that there's so much talent in this world that will sadly go unrecognized. I want people to hear this, it deserves a listen. Keep up the fight, Dan. PS - Ads will run on this video, but it has been completely copyright claimed so I won't be making any money off of this.

I don't know if you have ever heard the story about the recording if this on the record (you probably have but in case you havent or for others who havent). Freddie was dying when recording the Innuendo album, and I mean in a hugely bad way. Struggling to just be Freddie. When Brian May presented him with the demo of the show must go on he had sung many of the parts in Falsetto as he didnt think Freddie in his state would manage to sing it. To which Freddie pounded down a vodka and said "I'll fucking do it, darling!" Then nailed it in one take. He was a wonderful and amazing man. He is an inspiration to me always.

@@danpick5652 Yeah, the way I've heard it, Freddie was only really on his feet due to the various medications he was on, and even then functioning was hard...and then he did that.

Amazing. It's a shame that we never got to hear Freddie do this live. But then again, we might never have heard this classic song if not for the circumstances in his life.

The entire smash up was epic. But the fact that you fulfilled his wish lifted my heart beyond words. May God bless Dan and keep him.

My mother died 3 weeks ago due to cancer. She was a big warrior all life and specially in the fight against cancer. Lots of cirguries, 30+ chemo cycles and 5+ years of battle and she stayed strong and positive right through until the end. I wish Dan has her strength and attitude but with better luck. Keep fighting Dan! Ps: you nailed it as always

I'm sorry your mother passed away , my mother passed away 15 months ago yesterday , I miss her so much. ☹️

That guitar solo had true soul. Beautiful backing track that was completed perfectly with your heart-breaking vocals. In case Dan should read this: You did an amazing job on this one and I am sure this helped a lot of people today to carry on and hopefully carry them through hard times. I hope from the bottom of my heart that you will get better and that you will be able to keep making music for as long as possible. My prayers are with him through his cancer. I too was just diagnosed with breast cancer and just had my partial mastectomy surgery and I will be starting treatments soon. Never? I can't believe that

I was singing along with you on that one! I have the opposite problem: no-one I know wants to provide instrumentals to a guy who screams "show must go on"... Wishing all goes well for Dan, as well as all other Cancer patients out there. my French Grandma died of cancer in 2003, and my great Aunt (who pretty much took her place after that) is going the same way! Love to all those who have to live and suffer through this, be they survivors, fighters, or friends and family!

I wish Dan that he will fight the cancer and make much more of this very good music. God bless you Dan.
