No wrong choice here. My preference (by far) is the Santos. BUT….they are in a totally different price league. Any day you can have ANY Cartier on the wrist is a great day!

You made the right decision, the strait quartz movement will last longer than the solar quartz. Looks great on you

I picked the Large Must quartz over the Solarbeat for the same reasons and have zero regrets! In fact love the Must so much that I'm now blessed to own 5 (classic, red, green blue and black). I love the quick release strap system which allows me to easily mix and match the different combos. My most worn seem to be the red on black alligator strap and classic on black alligator. I also think the coloured dials really look good on the steel bracelet. I would love to add a Santos at some point (probably two tone) but undecided over the Santos de Cartier or Dumont 🤔

I initially wanted the Solar beat, but now I've changed my tune, mostly for the same reasons you mention: availability, long term durability, and not the least, the strap is much better on the quartz version. I was at the AD the other day, they did not have the Solar Beat so I tried on the quartz. Glad I did, it wore so fantastically on my wrist. It's made my short list.. I was there to look at Rolex, but I was more enamored with JLC and Cartier.

Nice video man! I prefer the Tank. I recently purchased the SolarBeat in Large size and also bought a brown alligator strap from Cartier for it... It's got Tank Louis vibes at a much lower cost and goes perfect with anything I want to wear.

Why does he say that solar beat need a capacitor replacement? I don’t understand. Is capacitor and battery the same? I think he is wearing a battery operated (quartz) watch too. So then it needs replacement as well.

The Solarbeat has a strap made from 40% plant matter from waste from apples grown for the food industry. I have heard that it does not last very long, unfortunately. There are lots of strap option available from Delugs, I have seen.

Good morning. I recently bought the quartz model in Italy. The solar model was also available at the same price. First I prefer to change the battery every six years. I have some swatches that are 40 years old and they're still great... I don't feel comfortable with solar. I also fully agree with you on the choice of strap. I love eco-sustainability, but a shiny strap made from apple peel is NOT.

What a nice place to buy this tank! I agree with you with the strap! And yes i think battery in this case is so much more reliable... my dad has a ecodrive from citizen , that my mom got for him years ago like 35 years ago and the watch stopped workinglike 20 years ago and i change the capacitor for the solar and still does not work. So yeah . thanks for watching!

So mi AD has a loyalty program where they give you points with every purchase you make and i had some points there and they gave me 15% discount! Keep in mind i have a great relationship with my AD and my Sales Representative

Yes and it has easy removal

nothing special that cartier tank. its nice, but If I really want impress my self with rectangular shape then I go for JLC reverso.
