Let me clarify a few things, I don't think Digital Foundry used the word broken for the HDR, they just said something was off & that could be...especially looking at recorded playback but IN game on consoles with HDR turned on I think it's looks fantastic! Super sharp image quality! I turn the HDR off & it doesn't look as crisp imo. Secondly, when I say consoles naturally I mean Series X & PS5! Xbox One X & PS4 Pro it looks great still but sadly it's only 30fps...on next gen consoles you get that super smooth 60fps! Lastly, I was given a review code BUT I asked the guy on Twitter for it. I dm'd him & let him know I was a super fan, linked my YT channel & he was generous enough to shoot me a review code for both games free of charge on Series X! It's not like they reached out & asked me to review the game. I have been waiting for quality remasters for the Crysis franchise for years! To finally see 2 & 3 look & play so damn good on consoles & PC really does make me super happy. Part 1 is still a bit rough on Series X, frame rate is even worse on PS5 but hey, don't be sad...cause two outta three ain't bad lol Thanks for watching.

I’m with ya 100% these games back in the day entertained me the way DOOM and DOOM Eternal do today. They both came out when games were over-saturated with military games (12 years ago) and battle-royale (presently). Both are amazing power-fantasies that I hope continue with more and more sequels. Glad to know you love it too.

In one of the older Splinter Cell games you could shoot a fish tank and have the water drain from the bullet holes. And that is just one of the many levels of interaction you can have with the environments and enemies. It boggles the mind how modern games lack these simple things from the PS2 era.

@@ExposingLames Sorry for the late reply. Mainly I just remember being bored playing them which would also have been the time that I was in a bad case of FPS fatigue. From like 2011 up until about 2018 I maybe played a dozen FPS games and only finished like 2 because I just got bored playing them. Probably gonna wait for sale and give them another go.

Awesome to see. Loved Crysis 2 on 360. I think I will enjoy revisiting these on the remaster when it drops down. Crysis 2 is probably still one of my favorite FPS campaigns. Just enjoyed the atmosphere and abilities, variety of gameplay so much. Max Payne 3 is one of the best games of that gen too, minus unskippable cutscenes. Interesting about the AI. I may go through these 3 again on the hardest mode. Part 3 I was able to basically speedrun my first time through the game since you could skip most of the fights. It felt like a big oversight for the game. Not sure if PC version was like that. Looking forward to seeing if that changes the gameplay at all over the 360 versions. Miss these types of linear super focused campaigns. These games were super replayable for me because the moment to moment pacing was so engaging. Loved the challenge of the hardest modes too. Alot of that has died out by this point.

This a series much like max payne that in my opinion needs to come back. Thanks for doing a video on these remasters and I really hope the sales of these remasters prove that there needs to be another entry in the crysis franchise. The soundtrack for Crysis 2 was composed by Hanz Zimmer and it is fantastic. It is great in the third game but its excellent in the second game.

I'm definitely late to this review, but I couldn't agree more. I was so excited for the remastered collection. I beat every game as soon as I picked it up.

I remember back when we used to get our games physically, I went into GameStop and there it was sitting on the shelf, and in a lil box on the cover was printed best looking game on console, I guess they were trying to hold true to that

If you were a PC gamer when these games came out , they will most likely be special to you. You knew that crytek would not hold back with these games and give you a visually stunning game with high production values and bombastic gameplay. And these ports are stunning , even the switch holds 30 fps on 2 and 3

As a console player I wanted to play C3 for so long, yet couldn't really as even though BC on Xbox One game still didn't run and look great, so these remasters are seriously something! Just finished C3 on PS5 and damn, what a great game, an improvement over 2 in all aspects (except length). I feel like Crysis 2&3 were kind of overlooked when came out because the market was oversaturated with linear, codlikeshooters + Crysis had a reputation as an eye candy and nothing more kind of game, but now, looking back and seeing at this game and comparing to what market has to offer at the moment all I can say - DAMN! Shooting feels great, sound design is awesome, AI is pretty good in C3 especially, music is better than most, visually game still looks better than some last-gen games etc. I really really really miss linear 8-12h FPS with good shooting mechanics and a decent story. Now, Remedy announced Alan Wake 2 just after releasing AW1 remaster, so even though the story was wrapped up in C3, fingers crossed we are getting Crysis 4 in near future? I believe Crytek has the rights to the franchise, man, wouldn't be that great, to see what CryEngine is capable off on current-gen hardware? One can hope.

I just bought the trilogy due to this video I only played a very little bit years ago so these games are like new to me. Funny how I started it last night and get that old school feel but enjoying it more then some these new games. Nostalgia games this gen have been more fun then some of these new dlc loot filled battlepass filled garbage

The clip at 9:20 really made me wish they had added physics based grenades that you can throw back and also catch mid air to throw back. I always wanted this since Crysis 1 back in 2007 and still no one has done it.

Crysis 3 was a lot harder to run back in the day even on high end hardware you couldn’t hold max settings. Coming back to it now is perfect.

Hey Solidrev I have a question, how is the remastered trilogy on PS5? I've never played any Crysis games but I loved what I seen in the remastered gameplay. I have a Series X and PS5 but I'm a PS Trophy hunter so naturally I want to get it on ps5 but I heard it runs better on Series X. Can you let me know if you enjoyed the PS5 version just as much as Series X or is the Series X much more better all around. Thanks from Toronto Canada.

It runs good on ps5, the only downside is it does have the checkpoint freezes.

I remember the first crysis was insanely difficult on hard difficulty but I’ll trust you and play on Veteran on 2/3

I Agree with you 100% on the laser focus of the game, i Playthrough Far Cry 6 one time i my life, but i can beat any crysis multiple time without getting bored.

Ah busy work. I’m currently playing Ghost Of Tyshima and there’s tons of busy work but I’m really enjoying being in the world. The graphics are great on Ps5, setting, atmosphere , weather, lighting, Music, Combat, all bloody brilliant. I know I’m gonna get bored of the busy work, at some point and I kinda wish these open world games had less of it. Let us free roam, find weapons, armour etc, let us play story missions when we please but please stop making me run around like a headless chicken looking for collectibles and foraging for bamboo, silk, gold , all to be able to upgrade EVERYTHING. These big open worlds are kinda made to trap the player. Just free roaming causing havoc, for fun and playing story missions, really would improve the flow and enjoyment . I’m constantly checking everywhere for upgrade materials and in such a big open world, it gets so tedious but if you don’t do all the crap, you can’t upgrade anything. Am I the only person that can’t play an open world game and freely travel the map on foot car or horse and have fun without my brain telling me to look for and collect everything? Great at first but soon gets old.

Yeah you have to love the aesthetic of feudal Japan to be into that game. Currently on my 5th play through while still trying to finish Back 4 Blood and Crysis 2 and 3. Oh and Deathloop too.

Nice. Now you're seeing why these games are so good. It doesn't really hit you the first time you play it but if you replay them, they grow on you. I've played crysis 1 like 14 times or something LOL

I finished the entire trilogy today for the 3rd time.. a perfect timed game... Cliff hanger in Carpenter3 makes me want 4 today more than ever... come on Crytek what are you waiting for?

I really love crysis 2 & 3 remastered on the ps4 pro with high controller sensitivity . Even the fake raytracing reflections are stunning

I've been playing through Crysis 3 on pc for a while now, but performance isn't great. I'm assuming it's because of the demanding nature of the game. Does the remaster have anything like DLSS, Rev?

Rev if you could choose would you take a half life 2 remaster, or FEAR remaster? After seeing this awesome set of remasters I'm just dreaming of other all the other top tier 360 generation shooters that could be remastered.

man i freaking love crysis 2 in the series, probably played more then 150 times back in days with every single gpu i own, its a joy and my first fps game ever, back in days when i first encounter pinger damn that shit was scary af and so hard to kill because i didnot know anything about using c4 or op gun like k-volt its make the game super easy even post human worrier difficulty XD c2 remaster did a better job then most remaster games now a days coming, texture looks much better and lighting ofc, idk why im getting some stutters weird, there is a vram bug with this game i hope they gonna fix it because very high texture makes the game unplayable for me even tho i have a rtx 2060 super, c3 remaster almost perfect, visually they didnot change anything special but you can see cpu performance has been improve a lot and you get much better frametime which increase the fluidity of the game which is something i miss in c3 og even tho og c3 i get better frame but sudden frametime jump and some stutters was so annoying, i hope crysis remaster they are going to fix cpu performance so we can play everything on high without framepacing issue

Dang, shout-out to Crysis! Seeing this also makes me want a Killzone 2 and 3 remake so bad. I know it's not related and exclusive to Sony, but I truthfully loved both game franchises. Some of the best FPS ever made for me

Start with Crysis Remastered, has one of the best open-area levels I have ever encountered. It was like the first time I watched Jurassic Park. Absolutely stunning.
