In this video I show how I build a monster sized desk for my wife and I. Both of us work from home, so we really needed a desk comfortable for two to work at. I have included lots of detail in this video and I hope you find it informative. I have a companion video of how I made the cabinet door and drawer pulls. Take a look if you are in need.

@10:36, true Betty Botter bought some butter, But she said the butter’s bitter, “If I put it in my batter It will make my batter bitter, But a bit of better butter Will make my batter better.” Will Betty Boughter's bitter batter taste better? No because the better butter Betty Bitter bought was peanut butter! But the *MIGHTY* tongue twister that no one to date (that I've asked) have been able to do. Say "Toy Boat or Troy Boat" five times really fast. CAN'T BE DONE!!! And goodness gracious your attention to detail is SECOND TO NONE! Looks beautiful!

I knew it was high time I bought myself at least a biscuit joiner if not a Domino tool, but I didn't realise that I also needed a lipping planer - or even that they existed - so it can work out expensive following your channel! To be fair, I can think of lots of occasions when a biscuit or Domino joiner would have helped me make a much better job of a project, compared to simply using pocket screws.

Beautiful work as always. Hey man... I do not work for Renner and have no invested interest in this statement. But if you could get your hands on some Renner paint products shipped in to you, it will take your painting to the next level. Chem aqua and shellac primer can work fine obviously, because you've been making it work. But Renner finishes are on another level. Every product that they make is simply just top of the line. Their primer builds and sands the best, with minimal grain raise if you use a dust coat. Their top coat durability and resistance are simply top of the line. They even have some products that are near impossible to run as they are intended for vertical applications, perfect 1 coat stain blocking on their stain blocking primers... Anyways... Check it out if you get a chance. Renner products sprayed out of an airless, in combination with Festool Sanders with surfprep pads have taken our painting time and reduced it by 30% and reduced our painting complications by 95%. You'll have to get them shipped in from a regional distribution center. But they are worth it.

So happy you have upped your finish with Kem Aqua. It’s a fantastic furniture grade finish. They also make a surfacer to use as your undercoat. It’s water based so it won’t decrease the raising of the grain, but it will definitely cut your need for 4 coats down. It sands great and has more of a build to seal the raw material.
