As someone who also takes Adderall, I'm the exact same way as you described! It's so helpful, but I hate taking it every day because of that "gross" feeling after a few days. I 100% get ya!!

@@PeetMontzingo Yay! Me too!! I don't know how anyone could truly "enjoy" this med. I mean, granted, for what it's prescribed for, it's a miracle! But I tend to get really crappy side effects if I don't take a break from it. If I could function "normally" without it, I would in a heartbeat! If I'm just going to have a chill, lazy day, I definitely won't take it lol but working or doing something where it does need my attention, yes. Lol and I like sleep. I've been in Adderall for many years and my body still has never adjusted to the sleep stuff. I still find that sometimes I can sleep like normal on it, but others... Nope. We be up for a while. I'm not about that life 😂 I love my sleep! I'd never recommend this med to those who just want any sort of "recreational high". No way. This med.. if taken for what it's for, is gold. It can help in so many ways! But I haven't met a single person who takes this like we do and doesn't also experience crappy side effects. It sucks! It's such a love-hate relationship lol

@@1991LMR the side effects. As the med "wears off", the side effects can kick in. Not every time, but it's common. As someone who has been taking them for many years, it messes with your sleep, it can make you feel so crappy as the med wears off at times, it can cause mouth sores, it can make you feel grumpy, you can "crash" and literally feel like you can sleep for days, at times the med makes you not very hungry but then your body all of a sudden wants to eat EVERYTHING and you literally don't seem to feel full lol.. There's so much. Read about the side effects. Not everyone who is on this med experiences all of these. It's different for everyone. I'm in my 30s and in the medical field. This med is such a love hate relationship. They help when you truly do have ADHD and need them, but at the same time, the side effects are real and some never go away.

I just love your mom more and more every video. She is so precious. So wholesome. Love her expressions 🥰

This is random and mostly irrelevant to your video but I just stumbled upon your profile today and when I saw your dad I was like OMG!!! You probably get this a lot with all the views on your channel, but I actually went to high school while your dad was coaching and doing gym class. Mr. Montzingo was always one of my favorite faculty members, just a wonderful man with a pure heart and a fantastic sense of humor, and the power to really bring the best out of kids. Idk if you will even read this but I just felt like saying that. You and your family are a blessing!!! ❤

@@yesmaam090Peet is dyslexic. He mentioned it in another video. I have a friend who is dyslexic, and they’ve told me that cursive is impossible for them to decipher. For them, it is not a matter of not being exposed to it in school. For what it’s worth, I am also upset that they stopped teaching cursive in school. I was so proud when I mastered it!! I was one of the last grades to be taught, and I’m sad that my (younger) siblings haven’t had the same opportunity.

I am so glad you are writing a children's book about ADHD because just now people are realizing what ADHD is. Back in the day they didn't know what ADHD was and we just got our asses whooped. Hope to see your book and read it. 😭

It’s sad that a medication that can be so transformative for those who need it has such a stigma, such that we feel the need to emphasize that we don’t take it every day (i find myself saying that to people too!). I was not diagnosed until adulthood and getting treatment for ADHD virtually cured my debilitating anxiety around work, which in turn seems to have significantly improved a chronic illness I have. It changed my life, and it makes me mad that I had to suffer for so many years!

I hate meds honestly. I know I’m probably younger than you, but they’re honestly really annoying, I cant feel any sympathy for anyone and I just feel blank.

People don't realize that those who actually have ADHD need the Adderall. It does not have the same effects on us that it does for those without ADHD. It's just like when a diabetic needs insulin.

@@professionalcommenter Please don’t make that comparison. Yes they do better with ADHD meds (I have 3 kids with ADHD), but you don’t DIE without meds, like a diabetic with insulin. (I have one Type 1 diabetic child). VERY different.

You can see his Tiktoks without an tiktok Account. I think he has done something similar like a tour from his apartment. And on YT are complications from his tiktoks and there are the tiktok from his small aparment Tour, where he shows other cool places in his apartment. I hope you can understand, what I have written. I am not a native speaker, I came from germany and my english isn't the best.

As an adult who struggles with ADHD and a parents of a child who also struggles with ADHD, I 100 percent get the reality of trying to navigate the world under the radar so that we don't stand out too much against the crowd of normies. I just got diagnosed with adhd and I take Adderall and it helps so much! And I don't take mine daily either just the days I know are important and I need my head to think straight. I understand completely 💯 made me nervous at first to take but once I did all my chaos and anxiety in my head slowed down and I was able to function normally! And I could listen and understand what I was reading and omg I couldn't believe it. I also slept so good that night.

You should do more of these love them 💙

Consider yourself LUCKY that you were diagnosed while in school! I had to cheat to graduate with a 2.0 in 1985, since my A.D.D. (with chicks we usually lack the hyperactivity, so it goes undiagnosed more often, especially since I tested in the upper 2% for state tests. I got the “we know she’s smart but she isn’t TRYING speeches with my lousy report cards). I dropped out of college 5 or 6 times before a family friend who was teaching a psych class figured out I was ADD & LD. After getting counseling I rocked a 4.0 at a technical school were I was tied as valedictorian and worked towards a degree in electronics and television production. Then the school embezzled all my loans and Pell grants and shut their doors before I could graduate. I’m hoping I’ll FINALLY get my loans forgiven. I had a tv career in spite of the school, but after several not at fault auto accidents and 3 traumatic brain injuries I’m back in school to learn a new trade. LOVE your videos, especially the sound effecting your mom ( I was in band in HS too …. My only A).

Hi Peet, I really enjoyed this blog. Your mum is such a beautiful woman inside and out. You’re so lucky, I lost my mother when I was 16 years old, there so much I wish I could have shared with her. Please don’t worry about your medication, as long as you’re ok and using them how you should I would take no notice of anyone else. Jen is gorgeous, just like your mum. It’s not until you get disabled yourself you realise all these problems that normally you wouldn’t even think about. How you are not inundated with girls 👧 wanting to date you is unfathomable. Really enjoyed this thanks 😊💓💓💓. P.S the dogs 🐕 are so cute

I have it myself and I suffered like hell, yes, but it IS a gift you're just not used to it cause this world is not centered around it, gosh even mildly socially accepted. I have dyslexia and adhd (originally a.d.d). Despite being capable and all, I never did amazing in school and often missed alot. I went to a new school with a dyslexia program. Its always cool to hear about other people's experiences with learning differences and reassuring. I take a super low dose of Adderall very occasionally but for me very few medicines have ever positively impacted my energy or behavior.
