When you released that snapper on camera, in the background you could see the king swimming away.

Awesome ledge, ridiculous activity!! And the red tail in the kahawai, I have never seen that! Why's that?? Those trevallies, no matter where you go in the world, they always pull like hell. That king jumping on the rocks...that is insane...crazy fish. Those images drive me crazy, gets the blood running xD "I'll put my rod down"...(a couple secs later) "oh KINGIE!! I'm going for the kingie!" and runs back up again for the rod ahahahah Man, the 3m long rod would've made it there in that cast =P Awesome video man, so cool

@JEwilds mate u blokes could really benefit from a pair of quality spiked tabis. Japanese reef walkers with metal spikes. Sure footed grip on the sketchiest slippery surfaces! The type of grounds you fish they are a game changer!!!

Love your vids bro ❤soo good. But I’m pretty sure that you’ve been putting your soft plastics on the jig heads upside down. It is still working a treat but that may be the reason you miss a fish when the fishing is tough. Congrats on a banger video though ❤.
Quality content, non stop action. That sol is one sexy soft baiter. Be interesting if you chuck some burley out there with a squidmcpilly combo out the back for a big bopper snapper.

Id say 100% on for big moocher if we did that!
Unreal sesh! Hate it when the kingis won't eat lures when they're smashing bait like that
Pescaria e sossego
Need a gt ice cream when you need that extra 30m casting distance, have a look at the oceans legacy access swivels makes it easy to swap out lures too
Great session man, I'm jealous of the amount of action you encountered in this one. Just wondering what length TD zero are you running the first softbait on. I think its your PE2 outfit from the description but wasn't sure about the length. I'd like to get a light softbait rod for the rocks that is long enough to maybe use off the beach and was wondering how long it should be and what models would be good. The Zero looks mint in your hands but I don't know if I would trust myself with it in such a harsh environment haha
@JEWildsFishing

Its the 762 model, if you google TD Zero Daiwa NZ then you can see all the different options available through the Daiwa website. Very cool rod, I have done really well with it

Duuuuude. This was rad! All on wood lures too?
what model td zero were you throwing softbait with? I'm from the US so im not too familiar with PE ratings and stuff like that but that action looks really good for our striped bass fishing
Really like your videos 👌🏻 do you have any experience with the Daiwa Saltiga C Rods in the Air Portable Version (looking for a C80-8). Would love to go for the C85-8 that u have, but the length is always a problem for the plane 🫠
@JEWildsFishing

I have not but I would say they definitely would be nice to use. As you know anything that has the Saltiga name on it has been through extreme testing stages and the finished products are world class because of it

Hey man what plastic do u like for snapper in clear water. Also do u get grouper land based in NZ
@JEWildsFishing

No Grouper anymore landbased unfortunately. I like the Daiwa Baitjunkies for Snapper. My favourite is the 4.2inch Minnow in the Grey Nomad Glow colour

JE i love your videos.... but can you provide the tackle you use? ie pole length, pole rating for line, line weight and reel size? I get to fish at Rocky Point, Mexico a few times a year, my tackle is always in question for me. you look like you use some pretty heavy gear. Obviously for the Kings you use very heavy gear, but i use 8ft rod rated for 25-30lb line, 6000 series real with 30lb test braid. I am a few years older than you but always struggle with the size of the gear i use for salt water fishing as teh fish are much different for the fight and size. I just figure any insight would help....i do love watching your videos...they always get me excited for fishing

Why does it matter it’s not you business
You wind to fast and not letting your lure sink even just 2 seconds could be a game changer
dude do you have ANY intend to keep a fish? Whats the intention for you fishing?
too fast
You are in a great place lots of fish, but why are you throwing the bait and pulling it out so fast????? You have to reduce the withdrawal speed.
