Have you ever wanted to own your own self serve car wash? I usually go to my car washes twice a week so I thought I would show you what a day in the life looks like for a car wash owner and if it looks appealing to you you can go out and find your own car wash.
After a few hours of work at my car washes I like to ride my bicycle along the beach in santa monica and enjoy a workout knowing that my coin operated car washes are still working for me and bringing in passive income for me.
That is the beauty of investing in passive income business's. It took me a few hours to check on them then I have the rest if the day to enjoy it however I want while the money is still coming in.
Check out my other videos on my channel for plenty of more car wash information and I hope it motivates you to get your own car washes.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe!
After working for my Uncle for 2 years at he's car washes I really wanted my own and I came across this car wash. It was completely shutdown for many years so I approached the owner of the land and made a deal with him.
It took me 6 weeks to bring it back to life and open it and now the customers are starting to pour in. Not to mention I opened it during winter so I am yet. to see its full potential but here's a small taste of how its going so far!

Great stuff man! My family owns one and I often help out so seeing your routine is all so familiar! Out of curiosity, do you employee folks to help with dumping the trash, sweeping the area, and keeping an eye out for any broken hoses/equipment? Or are you running these completely solo? The amount of trash people dump at a car wash is just unbelievable around here (arghh!).

Do you have to reorder tokens on occasion or consider just using quarters, bill acceptors, and/or credit card readers? Customers get 10 tokens use 8 and the two never seem to return. Over time token supply diminishes? In addition, more and more people are going cashless. Great job with the channel and growing your business.

  • @CarWashChronicles

Sure. I’ll work on making a video about maintenance in the upcoming future. Basically he if there’s a leak or a broken wand off the high pressure gun he’ll just replace those. Swivels and wands are about $10 so cheap and only takes a few mins. He might do this once a week or if we get a good run 2-3 times a month. That’s the most common. I bought all new motors so they usually last for years but worst case of one is faulty and goes down they’re only $600.

Here’s a suggestion for you, make a bracket couple inches wider, and a couple inches deeper than your extension ladder and mount it to the ceiling , then at the other end of the ladder Attach a pulley to the ceiling above the ladder, and another pulley over by the wall and run a rope from the ladder upwards through the pulley’s and tie it off at the wall … maybe get a rope cleat like they have on the boat … that way the ladder will always be there, but up out of the way

@@CarWashChronicles I have to think long and hard about the money. The easiest way with the money is to get big enough that you have 5 plus have someone who can manage them and by then you have an idea of how much the car washes make and can keep the theft to a minimum. Or you and your wife birth some kids and wait 18 years for reliable employees.

In my experience I’ve never done that but after looking into it it seems like a lot of work and very expensive mainly with permits from the city and all the underground work that needs doing like installing the Clarifiers and drains and would probably be close to 500k minimum as a rough guess. I’d much rather find run down where everything is already there and city has permits for it then just invest into the rehab.

Do you need to hire a worker for a car wash?

The alternative is you yourself going everyday to clean up and fix any problems so if you don’t mind going everyday then no worker is necessary but I only go twice a week so I have a worker to take care of the other days

I had some savings and so did my wife. If I had no savings at the time I would’ve searched around for some financing off family or lenders.

Saludos.
