"I think this year I have been preparing myself better than ever." Get an inside look into how White Sox outfielder Luis Robert spends a day in the offseason with his family at his home in Miami, Florida.
According to Luis Robert's mother, Miguelina, he was a very small child, but even as a kid, he had a lot of power, hitting grand slams at just 11 years old. To her, he is doing what he was born to do - play baseball.
Luis Robert is putting in more work on-field than he has in recent years and holding a similar routine to one in Spring Training. Each day after breakfast, Luis Robert, sometimes accompanied by White Sox No. 2 prospect Oscar Colás, does physical training then will head to the batting cage for technical training.
Above all, family is everything to Luis Robert. The tranquility it brings him to know his family is together, healthy and happy is invaluable. He always had aspirations to provide his family and buy a nice house for his mom. All the work he does and all the results are for his family to help better their lives.

I love that he’s training with Colas as well. The more bonding and friendship and unity we can get in that clubhouse, the better I think they’ll play as a team.

Colas got put down to minors
Luis is lucky to have a great family and parents. I didn't realize he was so skinny as a kid. His mother is adorable with her Sox hat (Luis looks exactly like her) and Luis Sr is a smart man ("She is the general"). It is sweet Luis bought a house for them to live together in. Those rice and beans look delicious!!
Luis is a humble individual and one that is extremely easy to root for. I wish him nothing but success going forward and great health along the way 🙏 Continúa haciendo que todos a tu alrededor se sientan orgullosos Luis. I hope so! He doesn't look so good at the World Baseball Classic right now. Hopefully it's just a warmup and he can overcome the injuries from last year.

One thing white Sox do better then every other team. Is sign Cuban players. Their team always has a ton of Hispanic players in general. Especially Cubans. Been a white Sox fan around forty years.
