Actually your not supposed to do that. Technically you aren't allowed to have phones past the security check point, if they find you with a phone you'll be interrogated. As for the bathroom. It's usually half way across the facility, and you basically need to sprint there because you're being timed by the second. The first break is within 4 hours and its only 10 minutes, technically its 15 but its usually a 5/10 minute walk.

@@hoodvines2720 it's called TOT or time off task. If you arent moving within 3 minutes you get a TOT warning. And that doesnt include you're work rare. You must have a 90% work rate, so essentially you're sprinting around for 12 hours straight, with essentially no breaks. And there's like a thousand employees working all at once so I dont understand why it would be so difficult to have longer breaks, or at least a break every 2 hours. And the thousands of employees thing isnt an exaggeration either, their are literally thousands of people there on the same shift

@The Real Nexus You make as much as a school teacher does when you first start out at Amazon at the lowest level associate. With zero education requirements, what more would you want from a job like that doing such simple tasks. It’s the managers you end up with that treat you good or not, no ones treating me bad where I’m at I hardly ever talked to any managers, and I never even break a sweat inside the air conditioned warehouse. They start you at $15.50 in my state when it’s $10 minimum wage, they pay better than a lot of jobs around here that require resumes and high school educations. It’s how you budget that determines your quality of living with a minimum annual salary of $32,000 a year, and you really make more like $40,000 with the amount of overtime they give, and really good benefits. You can’t go with the $600-800 car payment and expect to live well with an income like that and I see so many people do that. Hardly anyone lives within their means bc they wanted the 2020 car instead of the 2010, and eat out every meal instead of grocery shopping. I also have 3 days off a week to have a side hustle of some sort, night shift gets 4 days off a week and make the same. I personally make $60,000 a year working full time at Amazon as a level 1 and running a small solo pressure washing business on the side.

@Head Piece leave the personal issues at home no one wants to see that. You’d have to try pretty hard to get hurt at Amazon 😂 it’s not even labor intensive. And if you do get hurt the long term and short term disability is a benefit they provide at no cost. You get 60% of what you’d make on 40 hours while you sit at home and get better.

As an Introvert. I like this a lot. It's like the previous warehouse Job I had working in the cold storage. In Australia the pay is different and much more higher for those working in a warehouse compared to other countries. After a while I had some health issues going on that weren't related to work. I had to deal with it. But now all is good. Warehouse Jobs do look lifeless and boring but I do well at those type of jobs 😊

funny how everyone talks shit about the amazon jobs, but when a new amazon site launches in your neighborhood, there is a line of new applicants that runs 9 blocks down the road. why? cause no one else is gonna pay 15+ hour to a person that has no skills and no experience. I used to work at auto zone for 8 buks an hour back in 2019, and multiple times i had to go out in the 100 degree texas weather to help a customer.

I used to work at a Amazon warehouse in California. When it came to the atmosphere it was chill but it’s definitely not for everyone and it’s such a grind as in repetitiveness. Also there were some toxic workers who were just assh*les. Surprisingly the mangers weren’t the worse I’ve had which is a surprise. Also a lot of workers would just smoke weed in the parking lot and outside benches during breaks and lunch which I found hilarious because it indicated that the security cameras was not working at all. Lol. When I would pull into the parking lot in the early mornings to start my shift I would see bottles of alcohol scatter around the lot. So we had workers who were intoxicated. They hid their drunkness well to say the least. The most weird shit is the pretend “happy workplace environment” they kept promoting and jamming down our throats which is ironic since I could tell a majority of workers were not happy there “but there’s bills that gotta be paid”attitude.

I did night shift at a clothing company (refraining from naming & shaming) & what was meant to be a 3 day a week thing I asked to become a 2 day a week thing & even then it was soulless, exhausting & took a toll on my mental health. Thankfully I’m no longer there & really do praise anyone that can do it for much longer than I lasted & day after day.

Been working at amazon over a year now it’s a good starter level job with good benefits. Pretty chill, I can listen too music, the work really isn’t that stressful. The only downside is that it’s just very repetitive and boring.

I worked at Robbinsville, NJ. EWR4 in shipdock outbound and it sucks. Too much favoritism and the managers flirt with the ladies. It doesn't matter if you work hard. I left May 2020 after 2 1/2. years.
