1988 UW grad whose Son is going to Madison. I was looking for videos to show him what life is like at UW. You being honest about the struggles at first and then showing you with your floormates is exactly what i experienced at UW. Except the bus...dude, I lived in Lakeshore dorms (sullivan) and walked everywhere even when it was -40. You can do it! Leg day!

But I keep hearing good things about it and this video definitely helped. Genuine question that anyone could really answer, but is there any more time needed to study, because if I’m correct the video only showed 1:30 hours of studying. Is that sufficient? Maybe it was not test season or the beginning of the year, but let me know (asking as a senior in hs).

generally no LOL when I made this this was the beginning of the semester of my freshman year where my workload was significantly lower than usual. I am now a sophomore and Materials Engineer where I dedicate 4 hours every day (a tad overkill maybe) to study throughly. Obviously it depends on you as a person but major/course load definitely impacts how much you might need to study but I can assure you that even with a tough workload I am still able to go out, have fun while doing the things I need to do. Hope this helps!
