I think the reason why Arya is a messy eater, is because the whiskers keep touching the bowl and they get oversensitive. So she takes the food out of the bowl.

Oh bless your cats are adorable and I immediately subscribed! We had a pair of raggie boys as kittens 13 years ago, same colour as yours. My beautiful boys, Lionel and Howard are much adored and just like flopped lazy dogs who follow me around like flies, even coming to the toilet and demanding attention with love licks all the time, when they aren’t sleeping of course. Be lost without them and they look so sad when I leave the house and wait for me to return as they hate being alone

Hey idk if you changed your feeding set up but the reason your cat might be pulling food out of the bowl is whisker fatigue. You can see in the video when they reach into the bowl, their whiskers are pushed back and that can cause issues and pain. Maybe you could try a wider bowl that allows space for whiskers

Great video mate! You take such good care of your cats, brushing their teeth is true dedication. I don't know if I'm brave enough to try that with my cat. Also the litter box you have is a really good idea to eliminate tracking which is a big issue for me. The footage looks great, which camera do you use? :)

Hey Aaron thank you! I was scared too in the beginning about brushing their teeth, especially with those sharp fangs up close. I recommend taking it slow and being gradually about it. We have a 12 month old female ragdoll cross and a 7 month old male flame point. They are both on prey model raw. Our female is more playful and vocal, Our male is more quiet and reserved, both are very affectionate. Our previous baby was a ragdoll cross Russian, and did not trigger the allergies of my son's friend who was severely allergic to cats. Many people with allergies don't have issues with Russian blues. We also didn't have to deal with much shedding! I miss my giant blue baby, he was incredibly special.

@@TheCatButler these are with a kittens in mind and helping them to be a well adjusted member of the household. Like play aggression i noticed that my kitten becomes hyperactive from play and doesn't always have a great time cooling down. So even though i use a wand , she probably stills sees me as playmate and tries pouncing on my feet lol!. Its like i cant fully exhaust her. Other things would be like wanting human food out of curiosity. Walking on my laptop whilst im working. Occasionally scratching the wrong surface, how do i say no when its already been done. I have provided scratchers of different types. So behaviors along this line. And the nos , was wondering whether you did any squirt bottles etc. I find a lot of kitten videos of Ragdolls always seem so rosy , but i wondered if theres a side to this that content creators need to also show so we have realistic expectations cause its clearly not a walk in the park i think.

@@rosemaryfalama9473 Good questions! There is definitely a lot of bumps owning a cat. Some of the stuff you mentioned such as hyperactivity that they grow out of as they age. I also find having two kittens helped in keeping them not bored. Less bothering me for example. Oh...Arya is too too cute. Butler, that wasn't messy..see how cleaned up after herself I love how cats are so clean and elegant.. my Lulu is beautiful just loke Arya and Teemo! My cat eats small meals throughout the day. I space it out 2 tsp each time totalling 75oz..of Royal Canin weight care although my cat is not overweight. Since she's indoor mostly. Then small portion of dry indoor formula of Royal Canin. My cat was a fussy eater. I tested with so many varieties of food for 6 months before settling down to Royal Canin. She wakes early around 5:30 am..that's due to my early morning prayer routine. Breakfast for her and myself. We have slow morning. We play fetch and I do my dry mopping my floors for cat fur. Her litter box is next. After seeing you vid on tofu litter, I must look into it. Amazon was sold out on your brand. I use Boxiecat litter. I hate tracking less than Dr. Elsey. I tried everything in litter too I can go on..next time thx

Hey good question! I’d say they rarely hiss, Bite, bat, or scratch unless their life is in danger. I have had them for a year now. Breeders have bred Ragdolls for this nice trait. So most Ragdolls are nice.

My cat is half ragdoll and she has never once bitten me, scratched me or made aggressive noises at me. I've had her 4 months and she is very gentle, shy and will run or hide instead of lashing out when she's scared. She only ever hissed once and it was at another cat when I took her outside for the first time. The only time she's hurt me is when she caught my foot by accident while playing. Ragdolls are the most docile cat you can get and love cuddles and hugs.

As someone that has 4 cats and now a puppy, I think that cats are significantly more needy. Puppies are fine to sit by you, cats want to sit on you

Also, they are called Snowflake and Tiger. Snowflake is a grey and white she-cat who is scared of humans and Tiger a dark grey tabby (not as scared as Snowflake) .

Lovely cats! ❤️ Apart from Cleo, I have a Syrian hamster, and his name is Fluffy. He lives in my living room, and I let him free roam at night. 🙂 So, Cleo and I share my bedroom and the kitchen. When I first got her, I had trouble sleeping, because she would wake me up very early in the morning! 😂 😂 😂 😂 I soon learned that I have to play with her before bedtime, so she can get exhausted. We have a routine - We play before each meal, and in the evening, we play before and after dinner. She's a lot of energy just like Teemo! I feed her small portions of homemade raw food 5 times daily. (I recently just bought an spare freezer for her food!) She sniffs my breath to find out if I'm asleep or not. If I'm trying to fake it, she'll begin tapping me on my shoulders 😂 😂 😂 Otherwise, she just let's me sleep, and wait for me to wake up. As soon as I get out of my bed, she's like, "Are we playing now? Are we playing now?" 😂 😂 😂 She tries to patiently wait for me to finish my routines, and will often vocalize as is telling me to hurry up. 🙂 We take siestas together! She has her bed on my bed beside my pillow. She likes to knead before taking her nap, and she wakes up to dinner time. 🙂 "Hurry up, hooman! Let's play!" That's basically Cleo. 🙂

Oh my I have never heard of a free roaming hamster haha. Do the cats respect the Hamster and leave it alone? Playing is actually an important routine for the cat! Exercise is good for mental and physical health! Cleo sounds like such a sweet heart. Teemo and Arya would love to play with her haha

Hey I loved your video and subscribed. I have 2 Ragdol’s Lulu and pablo they are 2 year old and are siblings. I have always had a dog and a cat. In 2017 I had cancer, I am ok but I will never be able to go back to work and I lost my dog at the age of 15 and my cat was 17. My home wasn’t the same without a pet. So I got 2 Ragdol’s I absolutely adore them, they are so affectionate and are just like little dogs. Lulu place fetch with a ball and is very timid and is behind me all the time. Pablo is never far behind, he is a little lazier he likes to have long naps. We are always together, they are my little followers. Pablo also can be a little naughty he loves to jump and climb and Lulu can’t climb at all. They are both so different in personality. When they play fight sometimes I worry, they play to hard and I tell them to stop. Honestly they take my orders like a dog and understand them to. I find it hard to explain sometimes to others as they are so different to a cat 🐱 if you know what I mean. Love them to bits ❤️ How old are your 2 😘

Hey! So brushing and bathing them does reduce the shedding. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst it’s probably a 5. For someone that never had pets before it can take some adjustment. I vacuum every two days and having a robot vacuum helps a lot. Hope that helps! I like to keep my place clean but don’t regret getting a Ragdoll at all

OMG,that's a LONG day! We lost our Turk Angora 2 days ago and after a few months apart to get another cat and considering a Ragdoll in Switzerland here. BUT we are used to getting up at 6am and turn in before 10:30pm...Not sure if I can be like you turning in after 11:30pm just hope that our future cat can "sleep thru the night" like our late good girl kitty :-( :) ?? Would they stay awake and plan in the living room during the night?

Hello again... This was a very nice video and it's actually related to question I actually wanted to ask you about. First can I just ask about your level of allergic reaction to your cats. Is it mild, and does the air purifier really help? It's very surprising when I hear someone is allergic to cats while they have one or more cats ... it's interesting. My other question was about the daily routine of a person with 2 cats. Your video shows your cats being pretty calm and not getting into any mischief but I am curious and a bit nervous about how I will do daily things as I try to get ready for my day. Like what do you do when you are cooking, do you never walk away from the stove? are you worried about them jumping up there? And when you leave the house do you just let them have free reign of your house and are you worried about them getting into trouble while you are away? Do you wrap all your wires throughout the house so they don't chew on them? As well do you put away all the things on your counter that they may grab and try eat? That's basically it but I really concerned with how I can have things cooking on the stove and walk away. I'm finally about to have my meet & greet of a few kitties I am interested in and I want to be prepared and feel comfortable leaving them alone. Sorry for all the question but Thanking you for always helping all of us without us even asking. Thank you

Hey Dwayne originally I would get rashes and have a hard time breathing in my house. In addition to watery eyes, and a runny nose. Seems like eventually over time my body got use to rashes, but I still had a hard time breathing in my house and the other symptoms. Eventually I got an air purifier and all those symptoms went away. The air purifier was good at collecting all the floating cat hair in the home. Hope that answers your question. Cats are curious creatures. I do let them have free reign and make sure the house is cat safe. Yep every wire has a wire protector. Yep I keep the counter clear of anything dangerous to them. I had asked about your allergies to cats because after having pets (cats & dogs) all my life growing up as a kid and a young adult I never had an allergic reaction to cats until I think maybe I did about a month ago. About 90 mins after meeting 2 kittens my cheeks & neck became red and itchy. After washing my face it went away in about 30-40 mins. So I was surprised and disappointed that I might suddenly have become allergic ... So I have been trying to interact with more kittens/cats ever since and tonight I finally had my meet & greet of some kittens ... and there are two I am interested in ...but it's been 2 hours now since I left them and nothing really is happening to me allergy wise ... From one to ten (10 being a bad reaction) I'm feeling like a level of a 1 or 2 of a slight itch .... so reading how you handle your allergic reaction is giving me hope that I can do this !! Thanks again.

My ragdoll digs his food when he doesn't like it......it's like burry this litter I don't want to eat this.....

I have never been a cat person. Having grown up with dogs and a dog owner now also. But.........when the inevitable happens with my boy I am considering getting a ragdoll cat.

Um....a question next year I'll be in college n I will be back home at 5 n leave around 8:30am ...my dad will be at home....is it OK to leave my cat alone....or should I bring another one?actually I am planning on buying a ragdoll so just asked😅

Do you worry that they may jump the fence when outdoors? I allow my two ragdolls in the small garden but worry so much

It is a good question! I live in a courtyard, so it is not possible for my cats to escape outside that. But I always supervise them when they are in the garden. Hope that helps!

I feed them raw meat for the ease and the cats like raw better. I think when its cooked some of the flavor is lost for them,

After they have a nap, carry them to where the box is and put them in it and stand there until they start using it. 👌

Arya is probably eating outside the bowl because she wants the food but her whiskers are brushing against the bowl and is irritating her. I know I'm late to the video.

deaf or not deaf, deaf cats are just as amazing as cats who can hear, they just..cant hear you, but they have their own way of noticing you talking by vibrations. it shouldnt matter if a cat is deaf or not for you to consider getting a cat

@@randomuploads4902 Maybe consider getting another one or a dog? I have a Siamese x Bombay male and he *loves* to play with my mini dachshund pup who are the same age! I’m also buying a ragdoll kitten. So I’ll see how that goes! 😃

I bought two Ragdoll Kittens from a breeder in late 2016. From the very first day they came to live with me - my seal point Sarahjane spent more time at the vets..when I took sarahjane home the breeder told me to take her to the vets for her final vaccination. She was sneezing up blood. I have the proof. she was a very poorly girl from day one. "My vets did all they could possible do to help Sarahjane" I obviously contacted the breeder. Not interested he got his money - And kept brushing me off. I have no idea how she managed her poorly start in life except I gave her all the love, I was able to give her with the support of the vets. "Thank you for your incredible professionalism " to me vets are Angels sent from Jesus or universe whatever you believe in. 🙏🕊💜 Unfortunately after all the support the absolute help they gave sarahjane. I had to put her to sleep after just 5 years old. I am heartbroken.😪 I am a lover of all animals - Not a breeder. A lesson I have painfully had to learn Marymary " A Lilac point. I bought her at the same time. The breeder was selling her saying he kept her back because she was shy 🤭 Unfortunately I am unable to tell this breeder what I feel as he has taken his contact details off line except his website. With my lack of technology I do not understand how that works. Yes! he has a fabulous website. I fell for it. Shame on me for having a trusting nature 😕

How to know cat age ?

Vets usually look at their teeth, sexual organs, coat, and eyes. They can tell if a the cat is in kitten stage or an adult. For adult it’s a little bit harder to approximate what the age of the cat is.
