no I just code the surgeries and work on the denials. I don't deal with patients/customer/insurance/billing accounts.

yes we use the icd and cpt code book and also the optum website. Hindi ko lang alam pano makpag apply ka dito. marami remote job.

Kaso i found out im pregnant, the referrer of the company told me baka nd ko kayanin ang training dhil Mahirap. Ask ko lng po in what way sya mahirap n nd kaya ng pregnant?

i think hindi naman siya mahirap. coding hnd ka naman magbubuhat or something. You will just have a lot of readings and understanding the coding guidelines.

i studied medical coding for a year. Madaming nurse ang nagiging coder. Basta certified coder makakahanap ng coding job. pero daming shortage sa nurses. dapat nurse ka na lang dito mas mataas pa sahod medyo stressful lang ata pag nurse.

i worked first as a medical biller and then applied as medical coder. They trained you naman and as you do it day by day you'll get and built confidence to yourself. It's everyday learning coz every year there's some coding changes.

@@janicedetorres7384 hindi naman mahirap basta alam mo lang kung ano and paano ginawa ng dr yong procedure. Pero medical terminology and anatomy is a big help. you will learn as you start coding naman.

medical coder is the person that codes for surgeries, office and hospital visit. Medical transcriptionist iba naman they're more of documentation, recording the procedures or evaluation of the physicians.

@@zainab9209 i would research more if you want to be a coder or some other healthcare jobs. yes mahal din fees so ask if you want this type of job. Ako kasi gusto ko more of billing and coding so i took the risk kahit mahirap isipin kaso you will not know if you're not there. Sa una mahirap talaga pero kaya.

@@zainab9209 i work as a biller before and went back to coding job. I like coding. For me, its challenging but when you're in that field you'll get it. The more you code the more you master and get used to it.
