Idk about pm in Nashville, but in Sherman oaks it’s SUCKS AF! It’s expensive and sucks.

This got me all in the feels man. I graduated from PM 10 years ago and was a Learning Leader 5 years ago. 😭

I keep contemplating cosmetology school but you make it seem so fun!

8/13/19 was my start day at PMTS jacksonville fl!!!

I'm a beauty school dropout, so I have a couple of questions for you. 1. Did you work in a salon when you were younger? Or did you have to learn everything from scratch when you started school? 2. If you didn't have experience when you applied for school, how did you manage different steps of haircuts and was it difficult for you to learn everything in a couple of months? Is it still hard for you? 3. Is your school preparing you for exams when you get license? How are you managing? How are you managing with clients? I've had so many struggles, that's why I dropped out, that's why I'm asking you.

It is truly all about practice!! Although I’m not in school yet, I will be starting this up coming fall. I want to focus on nails and hair Mainly!! I’ve been teaching my self how to do acrylics at home for 2 years now. I wouldn’t say I’m the best but I know for sure if I keep on pushing and practicing I will be great one day. A Paul Mitchell school is WAY better than a PM partner school. Love Paul Mitchell and I’m so glad I went, but I regret not going to The school instead of a partner school! So worth the extra $$

What is the difference between the PM School and the Partner School?

I go to Paul Mitchell in Miami and our schools are so different lol I’m three day so I got Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Thursday and Friday from 8am-7:30pm...yeah long days lol and Saturday from 8:30 to five and we do theory for an hour when we get there and then on the floor all day taking clients. I like how at your school you have specialty classes, I haven’t had a specialty class yet

@@fab1314 well it was at first but then you start to get the hang of it , and youll learn a lot its also fun , they give u the dolls and they give you the kit , supplies ,equipment n textbooks , they gave me an ipad aswell when you start the first day officially , the cost for it all was $17,657.14 and im still paying for it bc its a lot of money but its worth it especially because its a big company and its very known. And to enroll they want highschool diploma , passport , drivers license , birth certificate etc. But if you want to know more about it or see personally , you can always call and make an appointment and they'll gladly accept you so they can show you and fill any questions you have 😊

I went to college first so I got my degree in business management and I feel like it’s helpful just to have a good idea about how business is run in order to basically run your own business as a hairdresser 🤗

Wow. So different from our beauty school here. Definitely not a Paul mitchel. Very same agenda. Not knowing if you have clients or not. Not knowing what service you will get too. But our instructor will have us cover our sma if we are just waiting for our clients. And we need it ticket signed off after the service. Also we get our same station every day. Have to keep it super organized and clean. I mean, I do. Your school looks nice than ours tho.

I didn’t know there was such a difference in all the pm schools.

And how much for how many time please?

It is expensive but there’s lots of options for financial aid, I would suggest you schedule a tour and sit down with the financial leaders and they can help you find options for scholarships and loans 👍🏻🤗

I went to Paul Mitchell and I got so used to holding the blow dryer the way they taught us but when you get a job they hateee when you hold it that way lol

You can wear black and white once you’re in phase 2, which is an elected program, not everyone goes to phase 2, it’s like an honors program if you want to challenge yourself and take more clients, I’m planning on doing a video on phase 2 soon before I graduate 🤗

I am in school full time and my days are 5 days a week from 9:00-4:30 with a 30 minute lunch , I believe part time at my school is 3 days a week from 5:00-10:00

Tori Larios because they say it will be so nice and you learn so much all you do is stand around and they don’t tech you anything so after a while you wonder why you just stand around doing nothing and all they care about is money they act funny there and you never get any Clint’s at lest I didint they expect you to find your own Clint’s like a real hair stylist not someone that’s in shcool this is the Arlington location in Texas tho the teachers don’t give you the time of day either if they don’t like you and ppl steal the stuff you get in your let and personal items of yours and all they say is to bad they hype it up acting like your going to be some big time famous stylist but it’s all a bunch of bullshit to just get your money trust me !

Tori Larios yes I went there at first like the first couple of weeks wich is core you like learn the basics that was fine but then after that you go to phase 1 and then you start doing like firends and family like the first 2 weeks I believe they want your first ppl to be some one you trust then they let you do random walk ins hair and like some ppl want just treatments or like color highlights etc. even facials wich I did have one lady that would come to me a lot she was very nice but other then that like if your not doing real ppls hair you practice on a doll head but like I no at my location that got old and they do have day and night shcool I went to night shcool so you just go for 4 hours and you can work during the day if you want or you can go all day like the girl in this video and the test are not that easy I recommend you study cuz I had to make up a lot of them at the end of me going there but yeah I recommend you tour other schools as well and as the students there how they like it cuz the teachers and finatual aid ppl there will hype it up just for you to go there you no so yeah :) and the doll heads and brushes they give you are nice not crapy like some schools my firends have been to but just be careful when makeing your chose on wich shcool to go to
