THE TYKO FAM CHANNEL
We're a part-time traveling family from California, now living in the Philippines, choosing Metro Manila as our new home! We vlog about our life abroad, running a business, food & travel experiences to local and international destinations, all while deepening our connection with our Philippine roots. Join us for a glimpse into our unconventional lifestyle & travel adventures!
WHO IS THE TYKO FAM?
Our name "The Tyko Fam" was inspired by our kids' names, Ty & Kona. As a FAMily, we enjoy spending quality time together, capturing memories as we explore new places. Daddy was born in Iloilo, Philippines, and moved to the US at the age of 11. Mommy (Japanese-Filipina decent), Ty, and Kona were all born and raised in the US until one day, Daddy introduced us to his homeland. After several visits, in 2016 we made the bold move to sell our house in California and start a new life in the Philippines! Sarge joined us in 2021. After a long YT break, we rebooted our small channel in 2022.

Oh nice! Yes, I (Marian) grew up with dogs in America and even once worked part-time in a doggie daycare in my college days. Food can be a powerful training tool. Thank you so much for noticing 😊

@thetykofam awesome! Dogs have become therapy for me since I got out of the Army. I plan on moving to the Philipines in the next few years. Glad you two are keeping it real on KZread and showing things really how they are. Would love if you guys could like sponsor me (help me) in my journey to the Philippines. No rush! Need to market my house and few other things before leaving the states.
Oh, my gosh, 8-9 hours? I’m thinking of having my hair done in Japan. I’d love to try the Japanese straightening method. Or have my hair dyed. But after hearing how long it takes, I’m probably going to try the straightening instead lol

Yeah, if you have virgin dark hair and want to drastically change it to a light color, you have to strip it with the bleach process, which can take hours, depending on how light you want to go 😬.
