I’m 27 years-in now. And Ramadan is certainly a very different experience to not so many years ago. Ramadan used to be difficult to navigate for us expat’s, but now Dubai at least, remains mostly unchanged. Best part is the Ramadan traffic is better, I feel. As there are more quieter periods, even if the driving standard drops further than usual.

I think it still exists but I didn’t do a good job at highlighted the local culture aspect of it in this video. I think there’s a blend between western and local which is nice, but understand what you mean for most areas of dubai now

Bro, take it easy!!! we know! we are Muslim and we don’t need our city to become “commercial” as you said. Of course Dubai is now international and not everybody’s fasting so we don’t need to starved the people that we invited to our countries! we are fasting for ourselves we need to have the discipline for ourselves if everything is open and commercial, so you have to know where to go and to control yourself💀

@@Fatouma_issa I can hardly say it's international, it's over 80 percent foreign that is enough to change identity and character of any place. Without identity respect decreases for a place . You can be international and keep your identity and not overdo things . Global international cities never went this far which Dubai tried to emulate
