I have booked a week in Calpe for October. Luckily I don't have the need to do the climb as I did it twice (94&95). First visit there was in 1978 as a 5 year old then almost yearly to the area until 86 so is a sentimental favourite holiday destination for me. Have only been once in 25 years so will see how much it has changed. Excellent video.

Another great episode. Thank you. Great effort with the climb. Can't believe it is only 16 days till we arrive in Calpe for our holiday. Not stayed there before but visited a few times. Will definitely take a walk round the old town whilst there. The climb up Penon de Ifach will be beyond us for the time being, until we get a bit fitter! Our daughter loves the beach you went to near the marina / Harbour. She would take fish food into the water and within seconds have masses of fish circling her and going into a frenzy when she fed them. We also love seeing the flamingos in the lake. Counting the days.

Beautiful views, how long did it take it to climb, stops and all. Does it take longer after the tunnel? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Sorry for the delay, I had to check the timings with Darren. I'm to forgetful. The total time to climb to the top was about 2 hours. 1½ hours of that was after the tunnel. It's much harder going beyond the tunnel. It only took us about 1½ hours to get back down though. The view was well with the effort. Thanks for your comment. 💜 🤟
