A day at work- Snowmageddon as a lineman
I thought snowmageddon here at home was going to bring more excitement to work then it did.Usually when we get the amount of snow we have a lot going on, this time it was unreal how little trouble we had. I still tried filling as much as I can to show you what a lineman does throughout the day, check it out!

How's it going bro?
Great video! Could you make a list of essential cold weather gear (I.e. gators, denim jeans, items to keep your head hands and feet warm) etc?

Adam Picketts you bet, if you email in the mean time since it’s summer I can talk to you about what I use... applineman@gmail.com
Came across this lineman video. Good content! I was wondering what your work schedule looks like?
I got to line school in June
The only thing I'm thinking is you get to work, a couple hours later they tell you to go home so you can save hours and not get paid, drive all the way back home(hopefully not similar to the 1hr 15min commute like I have) just to be called back in. Just doesn't make much sense to me how they expect you to put all those miles on and not get paid for going back and forth.
please post more!
i've been seriously considering a career as a lineman. however, i got a thing where my hands and feet get extremely cold. would i be able to go to use hand warmers when not on the poles or have warmers in my boots working in cold conditions?

Yeah you can use whatever you want but at the same time, suck it up if you wanna be a lineman, cold hands is the least of your worries
i get it...been a lineman over 35 years,that"s what we say to people who think that way...just messing also...enjoyed the vid..

mx521 All good! We got one crew at that time we always have a hard time so it was a punch at them! Just a video thinking we would have more storm trouble but a pretty quiet storm for what they predicted, stay safe!
how are u guys able to tell which poles need service and which fuses or boxes are the problem?
@w1sers

those are distribution cutout fuses and will hang open when they have blown.

What makes a good Lineman? What are the requirements?

Hard worker, get along with other people and can learn. Nothing worse then someone not willing to learn that won’t work hard and no one likes.

Tony Cepeda tons of variables, most of this we think was from wind slapping phases together, horrible sag in some areas, also we think there was some lightning in the areas too
