A Cycling Family's Dream Van

Traveling across the country in a van as a family of four is no joke. When two of the kids are three and under, it's a whole new adventure. Add anywhere from four to six bikes and it's downright wild!
With the help of PTCH in Ohio, we pieced together this puzzle that has been such a blast over the past two years and for years to come.

love it. also have a van and 2 kids and go on many adventures with them and 4 bikes. Its a squeeze and a bit like tetris but it is fun and makes the memories. Hopefully not all of these will require therapy! We also deployed a cage. Mk1 lasted 30seconds and then resulted in a terrible night for me in the top kids bunk. Mk2 was better but now at 3 and 5 we dont need it. Keep having adventures and making honest videos. Love that you show the real life rather than the instatlife.

Hi Ted, thanks for sharing! I have a similar setup in a Transit with 2 kids and lots of Cannondales. Also using Goal Zero. Can I ask what you use for hot water? Did you find a good electric solution? Also, do you have a heater?

Hahaha. Not inexpensive. The ability to get a van promptly last year, the price was right, selling our last van was timely and helpful.

Nice van! What cabinets are you using? Do they mount to the L-Track?
Looks like a really cool setup, but it's just not attainable for regular people. I'd have to work three jobs to afford it and would have zero time to train or take trips, so it would just be a waste. We've tried taking trips with the family in the minivan, but there's not enough space for bike stuff and all of the kids as well.
Oh man!! I have basically the same van … except it’s a Ford Transit … and it’s the smaller version… and I have 6 kids. But I do like bikes soooo … you me same same

I won’t put bikes outside, too expensive. Makes it tuff with 2 kids, not a great option in van.
