First of all, sorry for not uploading these days since I am too busy. This video was recorded about a month ago. This time I played Cateen's arrangement. When I first saw this arrangement, I simply regarded it as my favorite arrangement of this famous song. It contains cateen's unique jazz style and technique. It sounds extremely cool. This is also the hardest anime piano arrangement I have ever played because I am the only classically trained pianist and I spent much time adapting these fancy jazz elements that I am not familiar with.
Cateen mentioned that he wants to express a sense of speed and uplift in his original video description. That means this arrangement will contain lots of fast runnings and jumps. But fortunately, I am capable of and confident with these techniques. To be honest, after 20-30 takes, I am even fascinated by my own performance lol. Well, this was recorded 25 years after the original. So, even home equipment recording is much more advanced now than the studio stuff available then.

The precision of the pianist playing this entire cover is completely mind-blowing. It sounds so clean. Like bruh. I was really jamming at 1:29 Also the chord progression that almost makes it sound as though the key shifted slightly were a great addition for some extra spice at 2:29 And then what sounds like a slight variation on 1:29, the groovy 2:55 I also really like the smoothness of the arpeggios, chromatic scale runs, e.t.c incorporated into the piece. 3:48 is probably my favourite, it sounds so tender and mild. 3:42 I like how the slow down really eases into the next section. Very well executed. REALLY GREAT JOB OVERALL Thanks for posting this
