A Couple of Hours at San Jose Diridon Featuring Amtrak, Caltrain, ACE, & UP 1943
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Here's a video of Amtrak, ACE, Caltrain, & UP 1943 Leading a Passenger Special through San Jose Diridon. UP 1943 was Returning from Long Beach. And was headed back to Oakland. I received word that it left Long Beach yesterday. And it stayed over night at San Luis Obispo. And left the next day on the Coast Subdivision.

Awesome video!
Excuse me if you are NorCal railfan I have a question why are they're 5 comet cars instead of 6 on the San Joaquin?

The train you are thinking of is the Capitol Corridor, not the San Joaquin. The San Joaquin currently terminates in Oakland, but both lines use the same rolling stock. I think they only use 5 cars because most of the platforms at Diridon Station can only accommodate trains with 5 cars. Platform 1 is an exception because Amtrak's long distance Coast Starlight, which uses about 10 cars and two engines, and Altamont Corridor Express trains, which tend to have 6-7 cars, have to stop at San Jose too.
Awesome. Which radio frequency is used nowadays through San Jose between Lick and Coast?

Did you know that the Union Pacific would have a special train going through San Jose, and if so, how did you find out?
