    I know... I don't know why he's not though, I think once Zo finds his way, he'll be really good... I think that first year really sapped his confidence... And his dad didn't help by putting a target on his back and hyping him up too much...

    @@Michael-vw4cg I love Melo too...I just think Lonzo is better but the hype created by his father and Magic put a target on his back and he has not really recovered from that first year where every player wanted to send a message to his father through him... Melo has dealt with the scrutiny better because he was able to learn from his older brother and Hornets handled it better by not creating the media circus Magic created... I want Melo to succeed... I think it's shameful that there are people who want this kid to fail...

    It definitely was different even if it was a short amount of time. Look at all the HS athletes with hella followers on social media now. That wasn’t as prominent before 2017. There were some social media sensations but a lot of athletes didn’t get famous until the NBA. LaMelo had more followers than a lot of NBA players while he was in HS lol. It definitely was different.

    The incident in China while at UCLA ended his career. Could've had a great time in college while developing his skills he would've needed to have any shot at the NBA. Now, he has to go through his own version of NBA 2K19 MyCareer. Good luck to him.

    @@T1k213 he shouldn't have stolen anything but Lavar should have let him stay at UCLA accept his punishment and learn and grow from it at the end of the day of the 3 Brothers Gelo could have benefited from college the most to learn the game and develop his game on another level kids go play n college for a reason to get better and get a degree IMO if i were LaVar Gelo would have been the one to get the degree to help expand the brand their are many reasons he could and should have stayed n college but LaVar ruined any opportunity Gelo may have had for whatever reason teams are staying away from I feel bad yea he stole something but he was young and dumb we've all been there before LaVars approach to the situation didnt help at all

    @@garymagr81 it definitely did help. Gelo felt like he was on top of the world, that’s why he stole even though he was rich. Not cause he didn’t wanna pay or because he couldn’t, because he felt untouchable. Him being caught and exposed on social media wouldn’t do much. Yeah maybe it would be a good punishment for a couple of months at most, but after that, he would probably feel untouchable again. What his dad did was harsh but it definitely worked. Gelo had to get humbled
