You might argue that Israel is pretty dedicated to genocide and apartheid-ish business too, just the other way around. And it passes off its aggressiveness as a "right to defend itself", but frankly you have to be very naive to believe that that tells the whole story. As for the idea that all citizens have full unencumbered rights regardless of ethnicity or religion, I'm forced to assume that you've got your head in the sand completely. Systematic racial and religious discrimination is the norm in Israel. Not a big fan of their neighbors myself in terms of human rights, but praising Israel is ridiculous. Netanyahu is responsible for thousands of deaths, way more than what Israel needed to do to defend itself. Netanyahu is probably also responsible for thousands of future deaths for his role in continuing to feed the flame that feeds the conflict in that region of the world. His foreign policy betrays his incompetence and his desire to be a populist rather than a considerate leader. I'm an atheist, a Canadian, I'm unaffiliated with the people in those regions, I have no preference for Muslims over anybody else, I'd even say that their beliefs and actions clash quite strongly with my political leaning, but Israel is no hero here. The political regime in Israel is horrible and I feel sorry for the Israeli people who aren't blinded by rage, the Israeli people who pay taxes to these insane, bloodthirsty authorities. And the laid back attitude with which these decisions are made is sickening. The unapologetic ways in which the Israeli authorities respond to having killed hundreds of innocents shows that they're not defending themselves. They're very much on the offensive. And if you're generally pro-Israel, fine, that's a position that can be defended. But holy shit some of these actions, and the praise?! Come on.

+Carl M Having lived the past 9 years in Israel, I can tell you that Palestinians in Israel have more rights than Palestinians living under the PA. Also, Jews in this country found guilty of the same crime as a Palestinian are usually subject to harsher sentences than their Palestinian counterparts (for example, a recent Jew convicted of arson receives a sentence of 4-7.5 years where a similar case convicting a Palestinian of arson received 2.4 years). I live and work with Jews, Christians and Muslims (I'm agnostic) here and have even served alongside Druze Muslims in the IDF and though they would agree there is bigotry in Israel, it's not institutionalized bigotry and is openly and loudly condemned by the government. On the other hand, the PA has institutionalized bigotry against Israel in specific and Jews in general to the point that even their children's shows promote the genocide of the Jewish people. There is Apartheid in Israel, however it's the Palestinian government instituting it, not the Israeli government.

Crazylalalalala That's one of the things that happen when you discuss these things. Instead of having a reasonable debate, you're instantly being accused of bigotry even though you can clearly see that Israel (as opposed to the Israeli people) are committing massive infringements on human rights. Your blind defense of these actions is sickening, and it has nothing to do with bigotry or race, and everything to do with human rights and the killing of civilians, the displacing of Palestinians, the creation of little enclaves of Palestinians who cannot leave where they're told to live. There clearly are two classes of citizens in Israel. If you're only exposed to right wing think tanks and right wing media, you'll just never be exposed to that.

I would appreciate if you could help me understand, how is the Apartheid instituted by Palestine in Israel, the enclaves of Palestinians have been created for decades now as far as I know, there are sometimes literal fences and secured crossing points. Also I'm surprised to hear that bigotry is not institutionalized when really I'm blaming Netanyahu for some of the acts that I consider to be completely unreasonable. It seems like relocating people and increasing tensions against Palestine comes from the top rather than from the bottom, where really there's bigotry in every country... Can't prevent people from being bigoted x_x

Although I used to not be an admirer of him (as happened to me in the US with Trump or Lula da Silva in Brazil), I think he is a committed politician (with his flaws, like any human being), and he is, moreover, the asset (along with his Likud party, of which I am a supporter, although I also sympathize with Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid) that Israel needs to resurface in the face of the “Palestinian threat” embodied in Fatah and Hamas. My best wishes.

This earthly life is a period of trial, a period to learn and to choose. It is this spend time and made choices that make the ground for the choice of place where to enjoy or suffer eternity. That the Jews are chosen to be the example for the very rest of the humans in how truthful our Creator treats us, inspires and leads all of the God-seekers, may possibly depend on their intelligence, on their stubborn self-reliance and on their perseverance that He Himself has provided them with. Many Jews are soon to become convinced by the Eternal - and all humans and living creatures their Father about the special role in all history they have received. Many other good people have suffered, been treated unreasonably cruel and still God has not intervened. Because He has prepared for all of us a righteously chosen place to spend the rest of eternity. Because He does love us all, we are all His creation, each one of us have received special tasks to accomplish. Only if this earthly life would be all there is, He surely would have interfered. But the 'trial', as this earthly life can be felt, is not 'all there is' !
