Hi Hannah, I'm not sure how to phrase it more elegantly, but I love the way you embrace the "unglamourousness" of your unfinished background setup, that not everything has to be perfect 1000% of the time, that you're simply living your life as usual in a time of change and adapting to it as it comes, and idk, it's just inspiring!

❤ I love this comment. Maybe I just don’t notice background details but it made me annoyed/upset that so many people were making negative comments about the background. Hannah always has such gorgeous/interesting backgrounds. It takes time and patience to pull a space together. I actually like watching the evolution of a space. After Hannah did the video about choosing her paint colors for the new house, I went back to watch all the videos she made when transforming the the rental house.

You can say that she is not allowing “perfection to be the enemy of good enough”. I heard it from a dog trainer in reference to shorts of training versus how it goes when training in the real world and it suits so many situations. Too often we worry about perfection to the point where we are frozen and in this Pinterest, TikTok and Insta dotted landscape, only showing the best moments, it can be easy to feel inadequate to the point where it robs us of our joy.

It would actually be really nice to get some b-roll in natural light some time. I feel like the level of detail in your verbal description is so high, that the visuals are at a disadvantage here and don't add that much, which is really weird to say for a beauty review on KZread

Not related to this but thank you for sharing your birth story video. I was really moved by the joy and happiness you expressed throughout. In the days since I’ve gone back to the pictures and videos of my own birth to my son and for the first time looked for, and found, joy and gratitude in the experience. Every other time looking back I’ve only felt the fear and sadness of it. You don’t hear many positive birth stories. Thank you, you shifted my perspective in a really positive way.

@HannahLouisePoston it made me think back....almost 28 years now (it swiftly goes by) when my first son was born and the delivery nurse proclaimed, "ah good ripples"! In the delirious moment right after birth it didn't phase me - as after giving birth can do. I have always looked back at that with a touch of humor and silliness until you mentioned about your challenge with feeding. I now look back and am thankful for the loud proclamation - and what a blessing it was and I had NO clue. Loved your birth story, its going to help so many women. ❤

As a heavily freckled redhead (now turning white), I've hated foundation and concealer all my life. If I cover my freckles my face no longer matches my body and if I use a translucent skin tint it never stays on and often transfers everywhere! This seems like it could give me the light coverage I crave. Price point is pretty good too. Thanks for the review Hannah!

Refy wasn’t on my radar, but after your review of their brow gel I did more research and purchased it. That brow gel is my holy grail and I can’t rave about it enough. SOLD! I will be trying this magical concealer! Another product with a serum-y skin tint texture that dries down pretty well is the rose inc tinted serum (with the bead pigment similar to the Chanel and also now I think cover girl products). Hannah, you are so articulate in your description of makeup. Your knowledge of texture, quality and colour is amazing. I wish I could have you in person to consult and shop with! Partially because I was on the market for concealer and partially because of the praise it got in this video and let me just say 😯 I am truly blown away by this concealer on first impression. Guys, it’s good. I feel like it made me look 5 years younger, not that that’s the goal, but it did. It’s truly radiant, but not in a dewy over the top kind of way, it has amazing coverage, the shade match for me is amazing. I am amazed, this is what I have been looking for. In light of the absolute landslide of blush launches recently, I’d be curious to see if you thought any were worth it! The Haus Labs blush balms and the new shimmery Danessa Myricks blushy highlighters are most interesting to me- but I’m also fascinated by Made By Mitchell. His brand might be worth a deep dive, though I’m probably going to treat myself to the Curve Case XL before you ever decided to make a video about him. 24 pans of cream blush for under 70 dollars is such a steal that I’ve been extremely tempted. Also I like how mid-priced his items are! They’re practically the new drugstore prices. With over thirty dollars for nearly every new blush on the market, who needs enemies?

I love your background setup here, it really says "fewer, better things." And your eyebrows are fantastic here. Looks like you're using the Rephr synthetic concealer brush here. It's hard to conceive of how this concealer could function as an eye cream and yet set down all day? Could it really not emphasize fine lines on dry, maturing skin? I'm about 10 years older than you are, and starting to have a few crinkles around the eye area. So I'm curious, but dubious..... I know that bright sunlight on skin thing you're talking about; my husband is a photographer/painter from Salamanca and we have so many pictures of me squinting into the Spanish sun because he loves that effect 😅

Oohh this was wonderful! I’ve been a glossier stretch concealer girl for years and their light neutral shade works great for me, but I do wish it had more staying power. It wears off so quickly, which is okay for the way I wear makeup most of the time, but there’s not a lot of coverage and the coverage that is there is quick to transfer or wear away. I’m similarly pale and olive but not as fair, so I think the 03 shade might actually work great for me on its own! I’m going to swatch at Sephora promptly!! I’m running low on my concealer, so this might be great timing. Thank you for this very informative review!!

But that’s kinda when I gave up on foundation and concealer! It just sticks in the lines! 😢 ALL of them! The green stuff the orange stuff for circles the serum skincare type stuff…I just don’t think ( maybe I’m wrong ) that after a certain age it’s possible to wear those things? 🤷‍♀️ which is a shame i miss them as my skin has some red and the circles under my eye but idw stuff in my lines? It all seems like false promises ? Am I missing something 🤷‍♀️

Wonderful review. I've never bought anything from refy-- and under different circumstances would pass on this one too--partially because I have two concealers I love and that's plenty--and mostly because I don't have much interest in trying complexion products requiring me to "make it work" because they don't have olive or golden olive undertones in their range. However, I've spent the past 2 weeks in central America and am now a couple shades deeper and quite a but warmer that my usual base products--so a more saturated neutral or warm shade might just work. And lightweight but sturdy sounds perfect for this weather. I know it's not unusual to come across a make up review soon after the product launches, but the dovetail of timing and qualities of this product feel serendipitous. Thank you!

I wonder if this is anything like the Lisa Eldridge skin tint? - it also needs shaking before use and a sort of makeup skin care blend...

I have 55yo eyes with dark undereyes that are dry with fine lines. My preference is a formula that's hydrating serum-like but has decent pigmentation. This Refy concealer sounds gimmicky. I dont want to shake and works fast to apply. What if it separates on our skin? Since it dries fast, does it have drying alcohol? If so, its a hard pass for my mature , dry undereyes.

Oooo I have the fenty concealer now and so so on it. I may try this next! I also use kimiko from your suggestion and I love, but do you know anything that is an equivalent to the gel? It seems to run out so fast. 😩

I have found it so hard to find a concealer that works for me, I will be 50 in September and everything makes my texture look worse. I am using the newish Tower 28 one and I like it but finding a great color match is hard.

Your skin looked great with this product!! I loved the rose inc tinted serum for my lines! But sadly I think they’re no more as well? The color I like is sold out 😢 it didn’t settle in the lines

Sounds like this a liquid eye-shadow base with a complexion pigment suspension. Does it sit/set up well on top of sunscreen/emolient moisturizer? I'm intrigued :)

I wonder if this concealer, given the description, will work for covering dark circles? Because if it’s so luminous, how would it look under the eyes?

I just want olive shades so bad! The Kosas products do this so well, but I'm not stoked on all the formulas, unfortunately. It's frustrating to know I don't have access to formulas that could be perfect unless I want to buy multiple things and mix them (I don't lol).

This concealer sounds like something I would want to try! With getting older, I can't manage anymore my dry dehydrated skin plus the rosacea is a real redness and texture nightmare. It's not terrible rosacea but I'm not used to it and I find it a bit irritating! Having something that stays put would help so much, and the luminousity would help conceal the relentless dullness. How does it compare to the Lisa Eldridge skin tint? That's the only thing that makes my skin better and doesn't look bad under my eyes (actually looks pretty good, better than any concealer I own) but it's a bittoo matte for my liking and doesn't stay as well. I have to admit I touch my face a lot so nothing will really cut it to be fair

This is VERY interesting. It heavily reminds me of my favourite foundation (Pat Mcgrath 🫣), you have to shake that foundation (a lot of people dont, and if you dont you see a clear liquid that has seperated from the colour). It leaves the same natural dew finish that you describe too. I will def look into this concealer
