Hey, I'd like to recommend something for future tier lists; in my opinion you shouldn't go tier by tier, but rather some other category or even random, because I personally like to be surprised and guess a bit where you'd put certain items. When you go tier by tier that entire aspect is lessened after each tier and by the last few tiers we know too much and that is quite unfortunate. I'd like more if you talked about the things, pros, cons, and then slap 'em wherever you'd like.

to expand on my point, flechette, 56a1, 55a1, even m61 can't one tap you to the thorax. AP-M can. if you have level 4 armor or damaged level 5 armor, you get hit in the thorax, you'll be sent back to lobby.

You can buy that class 6 Thor armor for rubles. It's apparently part of the "Cheater's Kit of Choice", because the only people I've ever ran into wearing them were cheaters wearing it with Gilla's mask.

it's incredible how not one content creator takes blunt damage into account, like if the buff never happened. You will get killed through a paca with 12g and 20g slugs, 5.45ps, any .366, etc..even without penetration. I even got killed through a killa by 5.45 bp in a few shots, blunt damage only

actually unlucky dying to a scav head ears with a exfil because usually if u already pay 1300 dollars for exfil and faceshield u would also pay 30k for the ear protection which has the same protection as the faceshield lvl 3 and high ricochet but i get ur point last few day i ran zabralos and suddenly i get killed by nades multipile times xd

Watching this makes me wanna play so badly, I have 600 hours in the game but I stopped playing regularly like 2 wipes ago. The furthest I've gotten was like level 36. But ever since then I just cannot bring myself to play this game. I still had gear fear and what not back then but sometimes I managed to overcome it and I got as far as I did as a result. But now I just can't do it. I've never had a wipe as good as that one. Just constant deaths from nowhere and for a while there was a blatant string of cheaters using an exploit for easy radar at the time. Completely killed my love for the game. Losing gear I can deal with, but it's my time being stolen with zero gain that makes me not wanna bother. But I still watch these videos since Tarkov is really fuckin close to my dream game I've always thought about since I was a kid. I play spTarkov sometimes but it just isn't the same

Speaking on the whole Ceramic debate. With BSG adding interchangeable plates I really hope they add in spall with steel. So, while you have better armor it also has a chance to injure or even kill you when it stops a round. Different carriers could have different level of spall protection too. That way, it increases the value of Ceramic armor plates.

Back when this was relevant, ceramic had 1 use and 1 use only: stopping high tier bullets at a low cost. A tier 4 ceramic would protect you better than a korund for the first 2-3 hits. And if you're getting 55A1 shot at you, 2-3 rounds which don't kill you is already more chance than you would get with most armors in the game

The thing i love about watching your videos is that you keep urself very genuine , like c'mon .. u barely cut the recording man that's awesome ... keep it up .. keep it genuine , i swear i never played tarkov but tho i love it and love your videos for sure 👌🔥

I will say that the fact the THOR body armor is so rare makes it terrible. But actually using it is amazing. Being a tier 6 it stops even M855A1, and it is a good bit lighter than the Russian Green counter part. I got the THOR armor once and it served me so well, it carried me through The Punisher Part 6, with 20 kills on factory (when that was a thing). Absolute dream, i only wish it was easier to get because it is a good armor.

Peacekeeper has a barter for the first Thor armor, also the Ospreys and gen 4’s can spawn on Rouges in Lighthouse, and the “Tagilla Rig” that is tier 4 can also be found on Rouges

Kirasa armor is honestly really decent imo. After the first few weeks of wipe most rounds still shred class 5/6. I use kirasa a lot because it has some of the lowest movement penalties, stops shotgun and low end smg/pistol rounds, is fairly cheap too. I just think it's a really well rounded armor that stops the things that most armors only have a chance of stopping anyways.

You can also find the Thor in hidden stashes, or on dead scav bodies

I hope with the customizable plates and carriers that ceramic gets an upgrade. Ceramic plates are the single best armor for taking hits IRL. And I hope the plates are cheap enough that you're just replacing them instead of repairing them. Or repairing armor is just a thing of the past. The "Ars Arma... basically the Russian Tac-Tec" Bro don't you disrespect Crye and their CPC like that.

@@Polar_Magnet Better protection, but it's MUCH heavier than Ceramic, and also more expensive. Ceramic plating is relatively light for being an armor, while Steel is... Steel. Ceramic plating is also just easier to repair and replace over steel mainly due to budget concerns.

the thor ic armor you can buy off ragman after completing blood off war part 3 its pretty expensive and very heavy but its level 6 i guess i would put that shit in d

once you hit max strength you get no weight penalty from body armors (not armored rigs), so the heavy ones are super useful

Eagle Industries "MMAC" plate carrier (Ranger Green) its the only thing i wear ever, the barter is so cheap that i can't believe isn't nerfed yet. solid S+

For the zabralo ppl have been using it a lot more with lower class ammo being used more frequently alongside it being good for fighting cultists

Zabralo should be A teir. I ran a zabralo and altyn on factory to get my 15 svd kills and it made me invincible. I survived 8 raids in a row and completed the punisher using 1 kit. The zabralo weighs alot but makes you invincible.

The level 6 armors you listed in F tier are actually good if you have max strength and endurance. I kept watching and found more weird stuff. I'll just leave it at that haha.

The Zhuk can be found in crates as well, found one on customs semi-recently the larger crate by the tedio tower on customs.

Those early wipe armors also find use with those, that bought the game after the 2 weeks have passed from the wipe

That's not the only problem, it also reduces your movement speed by 18% and it's made of aluminium. Compare that to the Zhuk-3 which is made of UHMWPE and reduces your movement speed by 10%. Both are the same armor class and the same price, so why shouldn't you hate the untar gear?

I hate how when the HMK came out, it was super cool because it was super light which was unprecedented with armour that you could run so far with armour above class 4. And now you got slicks and hexgrids that weigh nothing at class 6

Slicks and Hexgrids weigh nothing, but offer no stomach protection which is pretty bad. One or two hits from magnum buck and you're dead. Hell, if anything hits you in the stomach, you're dead because of the damage multipliers on the stomach.

Fun video, even if it is made as a joke, it's pretty accurate. When I started playing Tarkov way back when, I looked at armor with high regard, now ? It's a completely different story. I use most of the wipe tier 3-4 armors, when available and late wipe I'll go for the all mighty pakka. Late wipe armor becomes irrelevant due to ammo availability. So if I die? Ehh, If I kill someone on the other hand ? Much obliged for the kit donation, Hell, even scavs can be on the menu, if they have those tier 4 armors. PMC or scav they all go down the same when you have some good ammo.

You can get the tier 4 osprey from peacekeeper level 3…. A little bit of this was inaccurate but still a good list. I also disagree with the f tier heavy armors. If you see someone with those armors on they are hard to kill

The MMAC is just a tacticool rat rig.

As a lower level player, I take every chance I get to use a level 5 Osprey, simply because they've saved my ass like 3 times, all from one single rig. I obviously can't easily get them, but when I do, I save them. They're worth the risk to get.

ABOUT FUCKING TIME, FINALLY YOU CAME OUT WITH A NEW VIDEO

I found a zhuk-6a in a hidden stash when I started playing a few months ago. Used it for factory portion of delivery from the past.

What I hope is that that when they rework the armor system to have plates and whatnot that you will be able to find high tier plates (lvl 5,6) in weapon boxes which might balance out the disability of not purchasing high tier armor on the market

Ghzel is way better than D tier. It can repair at least once to 55-57 out of 65 and it's quite cheap for a tier 5 armor. You usually get it back from insurance too quite often for that second usage.

@@SenkaBandit The ghzel can take far more shots within the raid than the Korund (which does very little other than massively slow you down). That's all I care about. Replacing the armor is a negligible cost compared to the loot I get from surviving the raid vs dying in it. Also, a repaired Ghzel is still far more effective at stopping rifle rounds than a pristine class 4, and more durable in practice against them due to the higher armor class, which is far more important than any durability number. Why spend 100k on an expensive class 4 when you're just gonna get 2 tapped by m80, 2 tapped by .45AP, 3 tapped by MP7s, 4 tapped by BT, etc. etc. Also, your choice of the trooper doesn't even cover the stomach lmao, so you aren't even protected against shotguns or 9mm!

@@thishandleistaken1011 my armor choice depends on what I’m doing, and I usually just run good ammos with shit armor because in the end, I’ll still be head, eyes by some random 9mm PST guy edit: durability also matters in the chance of you being able to stop a round (e.g full durability 6B13 is better at stopping a 7.62 PS than a 5 durability slick)

I like this tier list. In my opinnion slick as well does the same thing I remember turning on power for ZB 013 extract and then I got killed by a scav with FUCKIN M61

@@Cave____ yeah but that extra 30k isn't worth it because it's not that much of a difference, the TV 110 is made of armored steel and the mmac is made of UHMWPE which is a better material and also the best armor material in the game. Anyways the best tier 4 rig for your money is the Ana m2 because it has stomach protection and is only 45k, any rig or armor that doesn't have stomach protection is trash.

I found the Thor IC as a scav in a pre-spawned scav body on reserve.

14:38 scavs can have M61 in vepr hunter so you dont need armor

Really fun game, it's great getting one tapped by a scav that just arbitrarily decided it's your time to die. Fun not allowed, back to the menu with you. Come back as a mosling and suddenly the scavs miss every shot again.

Strandhogg rig is kinda situational its nice to have for those 40 rounders and 10 round Saiga mags

I just want to say that almost all good armor is rended useless when blunt damage can kill you. It doesn't matter if you are wearing a slick, you get shot multiple times with 7.62 you will be blacked out. Also the UNTAR armor rocks and i love it. Edit: The MMAC is absolute dog shit as it get's wrecked by 5.45 PS

Best defense is to shoot first and try not to get hit in the chaos.

Osprey is for backpackless evac loot runs, Reserve sewer manhole for example. Only reason I'll get one, I can pull out its value in a raid and it usually comes back. Repairs better then ceramics but still kinda rough.

I mostly only really use ospreys for British Mil cosplay but the teir 5 is pretty ok. Both are ok early wipe storage for your stash but in the spawn/cost/ usefulness setting the teirs here seem fair given

The THOR IC is incredible for factory. It limits your speed and recovery quite a lot but you're pretty fuggin invincible

There's a BEAR outfit with blue sleeves and blue pants. With that and the UN armor, you can hide in places around Interchange like Tobias Funke.

I largely agree but there's some STRONG disagreements on my part... Firstly - the Kirasa is bar-none one of the best value vests in the game even later wipe. Yes it's tier 3 but it repairs DUMMY well and you'll almost always get it back. It's minimum a B tier for me. Second - I know it's kind of a half-meme video but you based the Slick+Hex on luck when wearing it rather than performance... they're still the best weight+protection vests in the game. But they are extremely hard to find/trade now so I'd argue A tier. Lastly - With bias, I *love* the Osprey. Great storage options and very little movement penalty considering the arm protection. Yea it's expensive af but shit so is like over half the A/S tier armors you put lol. Regardless, fun video I enjoyed it.

fun fact about the reason he doesnt like slicks and hex grids because of the helmet he looted from a guy the wendy exfil, that helmet has ear protection that works with comtacs lol so if he was making that kit that scav head ears'ed him with he could have just prevented that death by using the ears which makes that entire story moot, but hey its his list and they aren't ranked by stats so that being considered he can rank them however he wants, just wanted to point that out. same with the airframe but the mandibles have ear protection built in and still accepts coms. also lastly, you simply don't wear a face shield to protect against players unless you have like an altyn or rys, their only use is scavs and maybe pistolings. last thing you want is for a scav to use a 80 rouble bullet to take away your million rouble kit or however expensive it was.

I fucking LOVE the press armor dirt cheap, shitload of durability bc of material, repairs extremely well, weighs nothing, and you basically always get it back from insurance blocks just about all scav/timmy rounds and just generally is my go-to until I can run troopers all day
