Honestly I thought the design of the Witness as weird and silly at first but he is growing on me a lot. I have seen a lot of fantastic art of him made by fans. I think he might be the Gravemind of Destiny. His dialogue really fits that idea.

Some Destiny nerding out here I think it is canon that guardians can switch subclasses any time, and use supers whenever they want. Ikora does it, and Cayde-6 also did during his fight against the barons. Just the main character has to wait for their super to charge because of balancing and some other schmuck

9:00 To be fair, we learned last season that Mara Sov is more of an awful person than we thought and her great plan for permanently killing Savathun was to stab her with a tiny knife after they removed the worm and didn't plan for the Moth to just teleport away. Personally, I think Zavala's in the right to be uncomfortable with acting on intel from what could be interpreted as a foreign power.

Think about it this way, Savathun manipulated her brother and plunged her city into chaos, of course she'd want to stab Sava to death. More personal than just shooting her and being done with it. Her teleporting was immediately after the crystal broke. We don't know if there's a way to block teleportation like that.

Mara Sov didn't plan to stab Savathun, she pulled out her knife because she didn't account for the possibility that Savathun would have tried to escape, primarily because she assumed that there couldn't be anywhere she would go, and it was the only weapon on her person. And she was pretty much correct in that assumption, since Savathun died within minutes of escaping, it's just that the Traveler immediately decided it would be a reasonable idea to have her be revived.

13:28 in lore we as guardians (the player in lore) pretty much toss supers and abilities around like it's nothing, we're only limited as players for balance. Also each guardian tends to have their favorite light (or now dark too) subclass. Having multiple subclasses is common but to my understanding to have all 3 ( before stasis) was rare? though it usually requires a understanding or fundamental knowledge of the power, like understanding the storm, solar light, or void bow when we were first getting our third subclass in destiny 1. Or stasis in d2

From what I understand only the top guardians can spam supers. (Ikora, Zavala, Saint etc.) Everyone else is just limited to the normal cool downs. Not 100% certain about this, but I'm pretty sure.

@@countduke47 Top guardians have "cooldowns" too, they just have a higher "pool" of light to grab from and it doesn't reset when they change their burn. It's why Cayde wasn't just gunslinging the ENTIRE time. Ikora is a different breed though, she might be the only one who actually spams that shit

As far as I know, the subclass does depend on the personality of the person as well.

12:30 “IKEA” is canonically one of the most powerful guardians alive and has banned herself from crucible because she gets really angry. So no, she’s not cheating and yes, she is banned from crucible

Stasis is one of the best subclasses for everyone but titans. Also the legendary difficulty is scaled based on how many people are playing, so legendary with 3 people is really difficult but not impossible, while solo its honestly a cake walk for any veteran destiny player

Zavala may be lame, but he is admittedly in the right surprisingly often. Just, as the Forsaken campaign proved, doesn't have all the information needed to not take risks, but is ironically also a point in his favor with disliking the decisions being made without him from a source that is only reliable if she wants to be but also spent the whole last season proving herself unreliable.

@@yourewrong9028 iirc it's not clear whether or not he attacked the Traveler and I do agree it's more likely that he didn't. And honestly not trusting Rasputin purely because he is so signularly powerful while wanting to defend humanity on his own terms is valid on its own.

it takes something paracausal to break something paracausal. As guardians we can kill ghosts. The shot that killed Cayde’s ghost was a modified slug. Causal weapons like what the cabal and vex use normally can’t kill ghosts

I think in some lore tab for a weapon, or maybe a lore book, Osisris says we are the strongest Guardian to ever live. If the Sword Logic of the Hive is true, then we cannot be stopped. We've slain Crota, Oryx, Savathun, Xol, Nokris, Riven, and now Rhulk, among countless others. All their power transfers into us, and well, you get the rest.

@@talidali367 Sagira’s dialogue wasn’t nearly as cringe as Hawthorne’s, or hell, most of the other characters introduced in Red War.

FYI, warlock Stasis is actually really good. Great for locking down huge amounts of enemies which makes running higher level content like master raids and Grandmasters much easier.

You guys really have to try and incorporate raids into these somehow

I played a couple of days before the release of Witch Queen to get new gear, since all my gear was sunset.

papyrus is also a skelaten but people still want his bones (some how)

just to clear up, the whole subclass supers limited to 1 at a time and after a bar is filled is ENTIRELY gameplay. In canon, a guardian can do whatever the fuck they want, whenever they want. A titan could whip out a Golden gun. A hunter could yeet himself like a fucking cannonball A warlock could fire a bow out of the fucking void.

When me and my friend 1st did the campaign day 1 it was about 8-10hrs before we finished legendary, didn't even know the it was spot the difference because I would just guess and get it right like 3/3 sometimes others were.... weird cause I would fail, try to solve it, get it right but by doing it the wrong way.

So, in the beginning of Beyond Light, we learned that Sagira died and Osiris became mortal because of that, which leads to Savathun possessing him. So, the thing that looks like Sagira is the third mission is just her corpse.

Actually, you're not forced to start it. You can quit right out after the cutscene. Which I did. I also logged in a day before Witch Queen to get new gear so I wouldn't have only sunset gear, hence the BR.

Honestly, as much as I don't like Destiny, this DLC is a good place to get back into it if you're interested. Pretty much everything you need to know is explained through the course of the campaign and the structure is almost like mini-dungeons, so levels are a little more involved and boss fights are more mechanically interesting than previous campaigns

Another hilarious take on a good game. The Witch Queen is the best Destiny 2 DLC....and the most convoluted..

Honestly I feel like they did a pretty good job with keeping it straightforward. Even with filling in the player on information that happened outside of the campaign (like the seasonal stuff where Savathun disguised herself as Osiris) kept the plot pretty straightforwards. Now, if you wanna get into the whole nitty gritty about why the heck Savathun had so much foresight as to catalogue all of her memories for seemingly no reason that just so happened to help her out when she became a Guardian (which she hadn't planned for)... THEN it gets a little convoluted...

Big tiddy moth mommy had been posing as Osiris for a full year in Guardian HQ researching all about guardians and their ghosts. Once she realized "Oh shit they lose their memories" she needed a test to see if there was a way to give them back. In comes the walking corpse of the guy who killed Cayde. Savathussy gave him back his D1 and Forsaken memories last season which was enough of a proof positive for her to go through with the "Go commit die" plan so she could come back and simp for the light as a Lich.

I'd like to point out that prior to this expansions it was pretty well established multiple times that your Ghost and none of the other Ghosts have ever actually spoken or communicated with the Traveler. I'm pretty sure there's a few lines of dialogue your Ghost has about this and I personally found the reveal of Lightbearing Hive disappointing since they immediately jumped on the "Hive stole the Light" and simultaneously "The Traveler saved Savathun/the Hive" ideas which just sounds both far fetched and contradictory. Also now I can't help but ask why there has never been an instance of a Ghost reviving a non human/exo/awoken since it's clearly not that hard. New expansion reveals that Savathun has an entire society of them that's just been chilling.
