These islands are very pretty and I can't imagine how much work has gone into them, but I just really dislike how much clutter there is. There's stuff everywhere that it's hard to move around. I prefer islands that are a bit more simple in terms of layout.

What we need is more plant core, nature core, forest core, photosynthesis core, fairy cottage allergy season core... these distinct cores do not qualify unless every space is filled. Clutter core has been the hot look.

If you join the facebook/reddit groups they give stuff away for free for people who are new or stopped playing

You can also use acnh discords (they usually have some giveaways) and use nookazon to trade for items, or you can time travel backwards to events you missed!

@@WifeNonGamerPlays I'm always here if you have any questions about it! theres some good videos about not getting scammed and also generally tips for it :) (if you do ever not feel safe with a trade and want to close your gates even if the person is on your island, just press the - button on the joycon!)

i personally think i have an odd way of designing my islands. i clear out a canvas on a drawing program and list all of the buildings, villager homes, and resident homes, as well as any major builds like a park or lake, then figure out which ones need to be close to certain areas that cant be moved, such as the dock or residence services. then, i fill in all the extra space based off of those areas and have one complete map. usually i add little bits of terraforming around the island but i get one generally layout which for me personally helps the island flow.

how to get the cottage core aesthetic: clutter random pieces of furniture together and combine somewhat plain colors.

it's from nook shopping during the summer! I think it's june-july in the northern hemisphere but I'm not sure in the southern hemisphere. you could also probably find it on nookazon!
