A Cocktail Named in Code? [3 Dots and a Dash]
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
If you ordered this cocktail at Don the Beachcomber in the 1940's, would you order it again? Let's see if I would.
To make Three Dots and a Dash:
--------------------------------------
1/2 oz fresh orange juice
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz honey mix
1/4 oz all spice/ pimiento liqueur
1/4 oz falernum
1/2 oz Demerara rum
1 1/2 oz amber Martinique rum
--------------------------------------
Blend with pebble ice on high for about 6 seconds. Pour into a footed cocktail glass. Garnish with three cherries and one hunk of pineapple skewered together.

Moar please!
This is one of my favorite cocktails! I love the Agricole and honey flavor together. So good
One of my favorites too. The Rhum Clement VSOP is the only way to go. So good. Cheers!
One of my FAVE cocktails and I love vertical elegance on mine too!
Okay, I’ll try one! Thanks for the video
this is one of my favorite childhood cocktails! great shirt too, spike!
One of my favorites! I would order again! ...-
Love that drink , try it with denizen merchants reserve in place of the Martinique rum makes a fun riff.
Don't even need to finish the vid to say absolutely I would. Still gonna watch though.
Love the original format, but these videos have been so good.

Glad you like them! Just trying to do more... certainly not going away from the 'behind the bar' stuff.
It is true that Tiki took off in the wake of WWII, and then was rekindled when Hawaii achieved Statehood, but there was a big "south seas" craze back into the 1930s, with many adventure films set in the tropical South Pacific.

I agree with that
I live for these videos over here in Switzerland!
Yep, I order these often!
Man I seriously love this drink it is so good it is one of my go to drinks for sure. Love these short format videos. Keep em coming man
I actually ordered one of these a few weeks ago at the only Tiki bar in my state. It honestly did not blow me away. But I do not know how true they were to the recipe. I would order their Zombie again over the 3 dots and a dash. The server was impressed with the fact that I knew they were Luxardo cherries. : ) lol
one of my favorites! I judge a new bar on how they do with a 3 dots and a dash
It'a about the dram and the garnish lol. Love this cocktail. Currently making a 'rhum arrangé' with Martinique cinnanom.
Hamilton 151 works great for that 1/2oz of Demerara Rum in a Three Dots
I like that shirt!
There’s a reason it’s a classic.
I had this at The Broken Compass in Burbank and very much enjoyed it.
I love me a 3 Dots and a dash!
one of my top 4 favorite tiki drinks, directly behind zombie, mai tai, navy grog. it's that good and unique.
Loves me a good Three Dots and a Dash!
ONLY for FRIEND to go HIGH
The only drink with three on the garnish that is not unlucky 😊
Oh yeah!! Love that cocktail!!
Great cocktail! Please consider a pairing video that honors the true origin of tropical Escapism Inc.: the Caribbean. Invite Mr. Panties and his Cohibas over and have an evening enjoying cigars paired with such tropical originals such as: the canchanchara, the presidente, Jamaican rum punch, Bermuda Swizzle, ti' punch, and all Ribalagua's daiquiris 1-4 and the Golden Glove. Mr. Berry's potion book provides many more, which means many more of Panties' cigars...
I love a good ...-
Everyone is raising their hands here.
That hat!
When’s the lucky tiki review coming out, curious to hear your thoughts. I’m mixed on it

Maybe next week? Maybe the week after? I think we'll probably have similar opinions about it.
Have you tried a brazilian cachaça in place of martinican run?

Omg... 😂
Hate to tell you this Spike, but knowing how anal you are with your garnish I feel compelled. The garnish in the photo you show of the menu shows a vertical garnish and yours was horizontal...just wanting to keep you authentic and in check! LOL, just kidding, I love these shorts, they're great! Aloha!
