What fabulous news that this product has now been designed by brother for brother machines. When will these be available in the U.K. We currently get little if any news about new products these days. In the past we used to be kept well up to date, now very poor it seems. As always Gary, you are a mine of information, thank you so much.

Hi Caroline, the 5" x 7" magnetic hoop will be available late December, early January but we have already sold out of our stock we had on order. This hoop is available in many countries. The company ships worldwide and is a Japanese company.

How do you accurately position you material in these hoops. Is there a grid-insert like there is with the 'normal' Brother press-in hooping system?

@johnb6749 Best way is to find your centre point of you design and when you go into embroidery on your machine, your needle will be the centre point of the design. You can do a trace around which will help you determine the position.

I would like to know if I can use this magnetic frame for quilting. Thank you!

How would you suggest I mark my centres on my hooping stations. Also I have a 5x7 magnetic hoop, again, how do I know the centre point b

@eileendupreez4268 The reason there is no centre point template is due to the magnets not having a set position on the frame. What you can do is create a basic template to give you and estimate by putting the hoop on the machine, go to the embroidery screen, put a piece of paper under the hoop, trace the outline and then do a needle drop to put a centrepoint hole in the paper. This will give you a guesstimate to help with placement.

@katrinaburke 8690 Yes there are bigger magnetic hoops available, as to which one will go with your machine we can not tell you as it will depend on what the largest hoop size your machine takes.

Can you use a magnetic frame on the F440e Brother Innovis

Unfortunately this does not, the hoop is a slip on one and the F440E uses the clip on frames.

I just got one from Brother for this machine but it only comes in a 100 x 180mm or 4x7". Trying to figure out why I can't get it centred correctly.

Does it work for any brother embroidery machine?

@catherinecarson7473 Yes it will work on your machine if its software is up to date. Just check on the your machine what version the software is and then go to the Brother support site and check if it is up to date.

The Brother magnetic sash frames come in two sizes but to determine which frame will fit your machine we would need to know what machine you have. The 5 x7 is suitable for: NQ3500D NQ3700D NQ1700E NQ3600D NQ1600E Stellaire XE1 Luminaire XP1 Luminaire XP2 Essence VM5200 Essence VE2300 NV800E NV880E Dream Machine XV8500D Dream Machine XV8550D VM6200 VM5100 VM5200 VE2200 VE2300 NV2600

NQ1600e does brother have one for my machine?

Hi Towana, yes it is expensive compared to the more basic hoops but not so bad compared to many other Magnetic hoops. But do remember that is Australian Dollars including tax so depending on where you live the price may seem very different - for example that is about the same as USD250 as at May 2022
