A Closer Look At...Gibson Murphy Lab Acoustics | Does Ageing = Tone???
Музыка
Join Sam and Alex as they explore Gibson's Murphy Lab Acoustic guitars. Crafted under Master Artisan Tom Murphy's watchful eye, these instruments are expertly aged to replicate vintage charm.
From the haunting tones of the 1933 L-00 to the rock 'n' roll swagger of the 1960 Hummingbird, each model represents a timeless classic. Made in Bozeman, Montana, these guitars feature Murphy Lab Light Aging, simulating decades of playwear straight out of the box.
With their thermally aged tops and lightly aged hardware, they look and sound sublime. We truly believe that these guitars are some of the finest that the Gibson Custom Shop and The Murphy Lab produce, and their true comparison lies in the vintage originals that we all idolise.

Also wanted to add compliments to Sam on his presentation style and descriptive quality when presenting. Very good and appreciated. Cheers
Lovely instruments lads thanks for sharing
for me it's Southern Jumbo followed by hummingbird
If I had to choose I would take both the Banner J45 and that primo Southern Jumbo.
45s just record so well. In the room the jumbo would prob sound better. But stick a mic in front of it, game set match
What is the song played on southern jumbo pleeeeeaaaase! Driving me mad
…. Not to mention the quality of the demo playing and by that I mean the cleanliness of the note and chord definition that shows the true essence of the instrument. Sorry that does sound tremendously pretentious but it’s pretty important when you are doing a demo. Agin appreciated cheers
😢 no DOVE?
I want to know what has happened to Arron.
the biggest negative surprise for me was the OO, it seemed to my ears as just " meh"
Nice tone but not nice enough to spend that much money on one...just buy a standard model play the heck out it it and then the rest of the time put it in front of a speaker playing the rolling stones music...it'll be as old as Keith Richards in no time...
Murphy lab guitars are great. If it's cold they burn really easily and for quite a long time so really good value in my opinion
Mike mangini inframe..
