A Clip from Joe' Murray's 2nd Indie film "My Dog Zero"

In 1991, I did an 11 minute indie film about a man's quest to overcome high expectations when it came to finding a perfect canine companion. It was done on a shoestring budget, with students painting cels in exchange for food and coffee and a donated Iron camera stands that needed to be moved with a fork lift.
Here is a clip where Mildo decides a Dog is what he needs, and travels to the local Dog pound to pick out the perfect pet. You know how we always see pets resembling their owners? This is that scene.

I would love to see this along with the Rocko pilot in full on some sort of special DVD or in fact Blu-Ray. :D Good Luck with all your other projects. :) Also,it's a shame 80's and 90's humor's some what frowned up on in today's society.

I think the only thing that made Rocko's good was the writing. Funny how Murray said he was surprised some episodes got banned when most of the show is very adult like.

But I think that's what makes the old cartoons like Animaninacs, Ren and Stimpy, Tiny Toons, and Rocko stand out, These cartoons weren't very adult but they weren't very childish; they were a little of both. Your middle ground cartoons. These days, it's either very adult or childish, there is no middle ground. I think it takes more talent to make a funny middle ground cartoon without being very childish or adult seeing as how it's not done anymore.

I have to agree. I would say the same is true for even older cartoons like Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes and also another rather obscure 90s cartoon called Capitol Critters although that one wasn't successful, it at least had potential in my opinion
Upload the whole thing joe, this is awesome. Maybe you could post it on your site.
I do have copies of the original pilot. It's just a matter of digging it out of storage.
So the guy ran away from bees but not when the dog brought him some random dude's leg

Yup. I believe Joe said that Spunky is sort of based off of Zero, only with a little more intelligence.
What makes Murray's cartoons really good is that they do not depend on the dialogues of the characters, enough with their drawings, animations and arguments.
This is totally awesome, I'm in love with the style. I also enjoy the soundtrack.
This is amazing, I want to see the whole thing! The animation quality is very high for an indie cartoon as well!!!

awesome i found this while searching for musical samples to make some hiphop beats and really everything is outstanding knowing this was made in the year i was born i also seen ''The Chore'' and Most of my childhood i have checked rocko's modern life (Still have all seasons) so thanks for making this things.
Wow, I've always wanted to see some of what "My Dog Zero" was like. This was absolutely hilarious to watch. xD The timing and expressions were brilliant!
