I watched this starting at 6a this morning..thinking, ok..here we go, another movie full of cultural cliches and shallowness. BUT I WAS DELIGHTFULLY AND EXCITEDLY MISTAKEN!! This movie, by far was one of the BEST EVER CHRISTMAS MOVIES!! I was inspired by it but let down because it was over. Truthfully, I could have enjoyed it for ANOTHER 2 hours!!! Being Black myself, I celebrate the balance of sensitivity, lack of stereotypes, truth, great theme worked in concerning the important things of life. We see Ethan's wonderful transformation and growth in wisdom. I LOVED RHYON AND ANDRA and the 🐕 !!!! What a treasure!! I cannot say enough, except I am in agreement that we need a PART 2 FOR 2023!!!! PLEASE. IN this turbulent world of degenerate behavior being normalized and celebrated, in the workplace, in politics, and everywhere, THIS MOVIE was a hopeful, relaxing, and therapeutic gem!! Thank you Roger Bobb, Tobin Addington, Shane Boucher, Caitlin Delaney, the actors, OWN, and EVERYONE involved.!!! YOU HAVE BLESSED US. 🙌🏽

Cute dog and very inspirational content. Strange name for a girl though. Foster? Also, added this when I rewatched ...this is a good illustration of the law of attraction, or manifestation, whatever they call it. He's been wanting to meet with Mr. Everett for his job, and when he lets go of that, he gets a recommendation from the son to work for Mr. Everett himeslf. Happy ending, work wise and love wise ❤

Absolutely loved this movie! I've toned down Christmas celebrations since losing my Dad and my Husband, this movie made me feel love again....im inspired to decorate this year! Thanks for an awesome movie!

Beautiful movie, so glad to see positive black couple movies, please more. I love that ending, hope it’s a part two.

This story. Juzt shows u. That not everything will go accordingly 2 youre plan. But gods plan 4 youre life. People places n things n knoeing tha true meaning of valueing life. Its about living truly living n living 4 u n not. What others acceptances of what one whats u 2 but of u doing whats right n best 4 u.

This was a really cute story about finding your way home. I also love the senior dog! Made the story complete.

I love this movie, I have seen it before. I wish all Christmas movies for African Americans would be beautiful and romantic. Thank you ❤️

This was a adorable enjoyable love story congratulation OWN production looking for more to watch the cast was fantastic especially the dog. another most important lesson the writer teaches us you NEVER know whom GOD will put in your life path you meet and start talking with 😇😍

I really enjoyed this movie. I want to rave about the young lady who played the vet. She was so natural and her acting just sucked me in. They all did a great job.

I tell you this was an AWESOME MOVIE!! At reading the movie title I initially thought "Gee are you kidding, I don't care to watch a movie about a stray dog." But, for some reason, I couldn't find another Christmas movie so I decided to grit my teeth and watch the 'dog movie'....uugggh!! Meanwhile, as I'm watching, it keeps my interests I mean I hardly wanna take bathroom breaks (water pill, lol). I'm so glad I watched this!! They actually need a part 2. Now, I'm about to scroll my Christmas movie options and intentionally look for a boring, uninteresting movie title...Lol!!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!

I always knew Rhyon Nicole Brown would become a good actress even she was a kid. When I first saw her on the tv series Lincoln Heights, I said whose that cute little girl with the acne problem. She was a good actress then. I was right. Now she's all grown up, still cute, and the acne problem is gone an she's even better now as a actress. I've been watching black Christmas movies all day. About 6 in a row & counting, but this one is the best so far. I give this movie a 8/10. I would've liked to see more of them as a couple before it ended. Still it was a good movie. FACTS😊😊😊

Ollie, this movie not only gets me in the Christmas spirit but the Romance spirit as well. There were a few scenes where they would look at each other as if to say...."You're the perfect one for me". Did you catch em? Kinda made me wish for Love on Christmas. lol

I absolutely love watching this movie! The female main character used to play on this TV show called Lincoln Heights when she was kid and it’s pretty cool to watch her grow up and seeing her turn into a beautiful woman and still a wonderful actress! But I think I’m a little slow because I’m not for sure at the end of the movie who Gordon was. Does anyone know who that boy’s dad is… Gordon?

Yes. She is all grown up now and beautiful. I knew I had recognized her face but couldn’t remember who she was. At first I thought it was Whitney Houston’s daughter who maybe made the movie before she passed, but that would be impossible.

This is the first time watching this Christmas movie, and it was worth it! It had everything nice: romance, family values, the importance of living life rather than letting life live you out and weary; and it even had the love for other creatures, like a dog. Pets do make our lives a lot more interesting and fun when we have them for their care not for our own selfish reasons! I cannot stand people that only have dogs to be as guard dogs, yard dogs, or for other purposes and when they get sick they just put them down and get another one! I hope those people end up in a low-cost government-run nursing home!

I cried the whole movie ... My husband took all our money and left for another woman , I lost everything , ended up homeless . I'm in a rooming house for a month and I'll be homeless again . You're going to be okay. Over 25 years ago, I was practically in the same place you are in. My husband who I loved very much left me for another woman. I was devastated. The home I lived in was foreclosed on, and at the time I didn't have a job. One day I came home and they had repossessed it and placed everything I owned into storage. I was unable to pay for the unit and I lost everything I owned, including all my kids things over the years. My last child and I were homeless and for a time lived out of our car. I almost committed suicide behind it all. But God. He bought me through. Fast forward, over 25 years later, I'm a published author and just finished writing a Black Christmas screenplay on a different take on the movie Scrooge. Looking for the right producer to bring it to the Big Screen. I believe with all my heart it will get there. I have a Father in Heaven that will make that happen. I now look back on that devastating time of my life and, believe it or not, I thank God that I went through it. Because if I hadn't, I would not be the person, the writer, that I am today. Sometimes our messes turn out to be our miracles. Trust Him, lean on Jesus, let Him guide you through this. Trust me, 25 years from now you'll look back and thank Him for how far and blessed He has brought you. God bless and much love to you. You're going to make it.

Love everything about this movie! Searching for really good Christmas movies and so far, have found about three on the OWN channel. I love this town (Beacon Hill) the scenery, is beautiful. The cast is great, and I love the story. I could easily live in a town like this if it wasn't so cold, but I guess the cold weather and snow add to the beauty of the city.
