I remember when I was a little kid and I read the comment section on this video. There was a huge fight between these two people and all I can remember was something about McDonald's... Anyway, I'd come back almost everyday to read what was posted next in the comments because it was fucking HILARIOUS!!!

She IS being responsible. My cat walks on a leash, too (I posted a vid.) If he's not on a leash he goes on the roof and can't get down. Once he jumped from two stories up off the roof. VERY dangerous. Also an eagle can grab them. Mine is always on a leash because I love him.

A responsible cat owner puts it on a leash when they take it outside. I hate having cats shitting in my yard, eating birds and leaving feathers strewn about my yard. To the owner of the cat, great job putting it on a leash while outside.

I used to let my grandma's cat out like this. She would sniff the vines and then get REALLY cranky! The misplaced agression is because a cat has come around and sprayed and when she smells that she gets territorial.

I have a burmese cat, and I was told by the breeders to never ever let her out unsuprevised, and always put her on a leash if I want to take her out somewhere where it is possible for her to run away (like we fixed all the holes in our garden fence so she can walk around there without a leash, but still supervised). Some breeds/cats just can't be let out on their own because they are prone to running away, so it's for their own safety, I dont get all the people who left you negative comments >_>

I know it was 4+ years ago, but I have to defend this poor girl. 1) Cats sometimes run away because they see a bug/chipmunk. 2) Even though they are animals, like someone said, if they are not used to the outdoors they can get hit by a car. 3) If you live in an area like mine, housecats are on the menu for coyotes. 4) Look sweetie, the cat probably isn't directly mad at you or "being mean." No cat likes a leash, yours just knows that's the only way it can go outside. And it loves the outside! :D

That cat seemed perfectly fine on the leash. I bet the reason she was so upset was the bush she was smelling. My cats love to go out on our front deck but sometimes another cat will wander up and spray something on our porch, and then when my cats come out and sniff it they go nuts hissing at everyone and etc. That's my best reasonable guess, though cats can just be moody for no reason too xD

we also have leashes for our cats because we live in a city where they would get hit by a car outside. However, like someone else said your cat should be in a harness not a neck leash it is safer for her. Our cats usually hiss if we take them inside too soon....you're cat probably wanted to explore more :) If we have time and patients we usually follow them around and they walk back inside the house when they are done :) No worries!

Children like to be in control too sometimes. Sometimes they like to play in traffic too. But parents should protect their children and not let them do whatever they want no matter how dangerous it is. Guardians should take care of their companion animals, not just neglect them and let them run around loose so they could get hurt. She did NOT deserve bad comments.

Children don't like going to the doctor, going to school, or not being allowed to go wherever and do whatever but that's why they have parents or guardians. DOMESTICATED animals need guardians to PROTECT them. Domestic cats and wild cats are very different. As different as domestic dogs and wolves.

Some who left comments here are idiots! She is not hurting the cat in the slightest! Leashes are the only way some cats can ever go outdoors. My cat LOVES going out on his long leash in our backyard! Unless you live in a park or estate, letting your cat run free exposes him to all kinds of dangers, pestilence & diseases. Better to go out on harness & leash than go free and get run over by a car, tortured by a psycho, pick up a disease, or get lost and starve or freeze to death!

Ok, I have noticed some things that the cat probably hates. 1. The buckle on the collar is too heavy for the cat's neck. 2. Who puts a leash on a cat anyway. 3. Being Stalked. 4. Getting a camera in its face. 4.

if i had to hear that voice all day i would probably hiss and swat too. and yes, a harness is what a person would use on a cat. news flash, cats are not dogs, they don't get the whole leash on the neck thing and all they will do is pull and get worked up and eventually strangle themselves. better yet if your cat is either too stupid to find its way back home or hates living with you so much it won't come back just keep him in the house.

I love that song! But please get a kitty harness for her. It's better for her because if you have a break-away collar (and you should for safety reasons) if she suddenly pulls away from you, like she got scared, then you can lose her. If you don't have a break-away collar then she can really hurt herself if she tries to run from you. You will have better control of the cat if you get a cute harness for her.

I had a cat for 23 years before she passed on. She was most definitely not a creature of solitude, she could barely stand me leaving the house. Just because cats are largely dis-interested in humans doesn't mean you can't develop a relationship just like you can with a dog. Cat's might act a little hard to get, but I'm tellin' you, once you connect with cat, you'll see an entirely different side of them. You just have to do a little work to get to that point, which is what this girl is doing.

That interesting so many ppl either disliked the video, or complained about the type of leash the cat was on. First off, if trained and according to temperament, a cat can go on a leash like that. Second, the cat was not mad about being on the leash, the cat was mad at being disturbed and "annoyed" while outside. If the cat was upset about the leash, she would have been fighting and struggling to get it away form her/off of her neck. End of story. No harm, no foul.

  • @Nephian
    @Nephian15 жыл бұрын

Don't know if it's been said elsewhere but you should probably invest in a harness. They place less strain / irritation on the cat's neck and allow them greater freedom to "figure out" how far they're allowed to run / roam from you. Also, if your cat is unfamiliar with somewhere, you shouldn't try to pet it or touch it while it's exploring. It needs to understand that there is nothing to be afraid of before it will be comfortable enough to be social.

If any animal I owned attempted to bite/injure me (its master/provider) out of anger... I would quickly 1) backhand it/kick it with appropriate force then 2) get close to see if it still tries to injure me. 3) Repeat steps two and three until it realizes its place. If it doesn't realize its place, then call animal control so that it may be eventually killed legally. -Ty

Having three cats doesn't make you an expert on feline behavior. The same case with violet46 happened with me. Some cats hate indoors. It helps that the cat knows it has a place to eat/sleep, but cats also aren't so domesticated that they can't fend for themselves and stay away from hobos with BBQs.

I think keeping the cat on a leash is better than losing track of it and it bolting into the street and getting crushed by a car. It was probably more agitated at her constantly bothering it than the leash. If cats are kept indoors most of the time, they don't always have the instincts or directional skills to stay near home and get back when lost.

Be sure to get a harness rather than a neck-collar for walking your baby, hon. You'll have her from some trouble, and it's worth getting her used to wearing it. My sister-in-law harness-trained her cat, and now he'll actually come walking to her with it in her mouth! I bet your kitty got scent of some catnip-like plants in the grass, and that may have been the reason she hissed. She wanted to stay and have a roll on the nice-smelling plants.

Hah, once I took a walk with my cat with a leash. She really enjoyed it, she's really sociale so she let everyone pet her, but the reason why I didn't do it twice is that she kept smelling everything everywhere, so it took about an hour to walk 2 streets and come back xD So I leave my 3 cats in my garden when they want to go out; it's all closed, they really can't escape.

It's not the CAT that needs to be responsible, it's YOU, its caretaker. The sooner you realize that, the better chance your pet has to avoid a horrible fate.

They do not know that antifreeze is poisonous or that man that's picking up animals is selling them to be burned and cut up in laboratories. Taking care of and protecting your companion animals and kids is a good thing, it isn't cruel.

It's perfectly normal to take a cat outside on a lead. I have a cat that was born on a horse ranch and I live in a city, so I walk her all the time -- she's trained for it, and behaves better than most dogs. Your cat probably smelled a tomcat or something else that scared her a lot. No worries. Just keep training her on the leash -- but I do suggest getting her a chest harness instead of just clipping the leash on her collar, it's more comfortable for her.
